I use an interdisciplinary approach, which means I use different styles of counseling to meet the different needs and personalities of clients. I always allow their feedback so they remain comfortable. I try and meet their perceptual needs, emotional needs, cognitive needs, situational needs, and respect their individual personalities. I have worked with all ages, sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds (including the Middle and Far East), and social economic backgrounds.

Waitlist for new clients
Hello, my intake process is on pause due to my approaching graduation. I look forward to opening my books back up around Mid-June - early July. Please feel free to reach out if you would like to be added to my waitlist in the meantime. I believe I was called to do this work. Healing to me doesn’t always begin with words. Sometimes it starts with music, movement, or the quiet act of creating something that feels true to you. As a therapist trained in Expressive Arts therapy, I offer a space where you can explore your inner world through creativity(your ideas included too!) (Image 2: Embroidery hoop created by Angelica Esquivel)

As a queer, nonbinary, multiethnic, only child, I have spent a lot of time telling myself a story in which I am the “other.” In more recent years, I worked to shift that narrative to one that instead emphasizes my many points of connection with those around me, drawing power from the many layers of my identity instead of shame and this is what I hope for you as well. Knowing that it is possible has sparked a desire to work with others as they navigate their own journeys in reauthoring. Joan Didion once said, “We tell ourselves stories in order to live.” This concept lives at the heart of my approach therapy.

Currently accepting new assessment clients. I specialize in working with adults who are seeking clarity about autism and/or ADHD, particularly those considering a later-in-life diagnosis. Many have spent years feeling depleted by work or social demands without fully understanding why. Some have learned to mask their differences, leaving them feeling misunderstood or exhausted. Others began questioning their own experiences after a child or family member was diagnosed, noticing patterns that felt unexpectedly familiar. If these experiences resonate with you or you are seeking support, an assessment can offer insight and guidance.

Sometimes the closer you are to a problem, the harder it is to see. Unfortunately an inevitability of life is we can’t have all of the answers. As a clinical intern, I see this as an opportunity for us to embark on a journey together to find some solutions. I love working with many different kinds of clients. But I’m passionate about representing communities that don’t have a strong voice in the mental health space. Some of these populations are emergency responders, police officers, firefighters, nurses and many more. Mental health is not something we have to deal with alone; together we can find new ways of being in the world.

I believe that healing in the context of therapy is, at its core, about having someone bear witness to our pain. I’m inspired by the idea that we are all bent towards growth, healing, and our own self-actualization; sometimes we just need a companion as we tap into that internal compass. It’s my aim to hold a safe and empathic space for you rooted in curiosity, rather than a pursuit of any “ideal", as you embark on your healing journey. I take an eclectic approach in the counseling room, utilizing Attachment Theory, Somatic Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, Existential Theory, and Person-Centered Therapy, among others.

You might feel anxious, overwhelmed, or unsure how to connect—with your child, partner, friends, or even yourself. Maybe you’re worried about your teen’s mood or gender or sexuality, or you feel stuck repeating old patterns despite podcasts and good intentions. You’re exhausted by second-guessing, people-pleasing, and the fear that you’re “too much” or “not enough.” You want steadier relationships, fewer blowups, and a sense of self you can trust. Therapy offers a compassionate space to untangle what’s happening, heal from what hurts, and build calmer, more authentic connection—so you can show up with clarity, confidence, and care.

With a decade of licensed experience in specialized areas, I made a shift in licensure path and I am now a marriage and family therapy associate specializing in mental health support for individuals and families. I tailor my approach to each client, fostering an empathetic, non-judgmental, and collaborative therapeutic relationship. I employ holistic methods, recognizing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. By using various therapeutic approaches and models, I help clients achieve personal growth and healing, believing that those who seek change will find it.
