I use an interdisciplinary approach, which means I use different styles of counseling to meet the different needs and personalities of clients. I always allow their feedback so they remain comfortable. I try and meet their perceptual needs, emotional needs, cognitive needs, situational needs, and respect their individual personalities. I have worked with all ages, sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds (including the Middle and Far East), and social economic backgrounds.

My background is in IPV/DV/SA, PTSD, IFS, Adjustment, Anger Mng, Grief
My ideal client is someone who appears capable and resilient on the outside but feels overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck internally. They may be navigating anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, or major life transitions while carrying a lot of responsibility for others. They’re self-aware and insightful, yet frustrated that understanding their patterns hasn’t led to lasting change. They seek a safe, supportive space to heal, build practical coping tools, strengthen boundaries, and move out of survival mode into a more grounded, connected, and meaningful life. Supporting Veterans who may be in need of NEXUS letter and reviews.

I utilize CBT, DBT, Somatic Therapy, IFS, Mindfulness, Art, and Narrative therapies primarily.
Are you looking for someone who can understand what it's like living between worlds? Whether that's within the queer and LGBTQIA+ communities, disability and chronic illness communities, separation from the family you were born into, or something else - I want to work with you to make sense of that experience and explore your next steps. I share those experiences myself and have focused my work on queer, neurodivergent, and disabled clients, because we often struggle to relate to the world around us.

IFS, Brainspotting and other somatic approaches are my most commonly used tools.
By walking with you and guiding you to understand and care for the parts of you shaped by old wounds, I can help you connect with more peace and contentment. Working through anxiety, trauma, and grief usually requires us to slow down, listen inward, and allow our experiences to be witnessed and met with curiosity and presence —rather than judgment. Symptoms often begin to soften and a more trusting connection between body and mind will forge. You will learn new ways of extending care to all of your parts, even the ones that feel confusing or overwhelming.

Together, we’ll create a compassionate, supportive environment built on a foundation of trust. I help clients navigate life’s complexities, overcome barriers, heal from past wounds, and build a life that feels authentic, empowering, and fulfilling. My ideal clients are individuals who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or dissatisfied with where they are in life. They have a sense that something needs to change but aren't sure where to begin or how to move forward. I work best with people who are open to exploring their inner world and are ready to take steps—however small—toward creating a more aligned, fulfilling life.

I'm a queer provider who has worked with LGBTQ+ folks for 12+ years. I love supporting people in understanding motivation to care for themselves and managing impacts of ADHD on executive function. I work well with individuals who have disliked traditional “talk therapy” and who are looking to build a better connection between mind and body, especially while navigating physical disabilities. I work with adults and older teens (16+) struggling with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I also have experience working with kink and polyamory/ethical non-monogamy.

If you are here you are likely seeking support for something in your life that feels difficult, overwhelming, confusing, or painful. My work is to offer you a safe, kind, and accepting space to further explore your internal and external realities. Together, we will be curious about your unique life experience, the impact of this experience, the struggles and conflicts you are facing, and what you need to thrive. I believe therapy is the process of uncovering who you were meant to be before the world told you who you should be or wounded you with its expectations and cruelty.

With an eclectic approach, I interweave solution-focused, EMDR, IFS, CRM, CBT, energy work, person-centered, and other treatments.
In a world that can often feel heavy with forces pushing and pulling us downward in so many directions it can feel all too easy to lose track of your true self. Feeling confused and asking how did I get here? Or why me? Or, I just want to get back to myself, but I don’t even know who I am anymore. You are not alone and there is a way. I work with individuals who struggle with these same questions. Questions that arise from the struggles with trauma, anxiety, depression, attention, autism, and others. My counseling services focus on addressing the integrated person.

There comes a time when we must meet ourselves, hard as we might try to avoid it. It can happen for different reasons and during different life stages. Maybe you’re experiencing a big change that’s bringing everything up all at once, or perhaps you’re realizing the mask you’ve been wearing doesn’t quite fit right anymore. What you’ve always done is no longer working, and while you feel ready for change, the path forward feels messy, confusing, and overwhelming.

Our reaction to stressors that feel out of our control can vary widely. This is largely based upon our already established internal resources or our sense of psychological safety, the quality of habitual attention we show up with, the quality of communication in our relationships, the clarity of our personal values and the physiological setpoint of our nervous system. Each of these factors are pieces of your experience that I am happy to assess with you.

My approach to mental health counseling draws from Internal Family Systems ( IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and other therapeutic models.
Are you navigating intense burnout or a demanding schedule that leaves you feeling depleted? I spent 14 years in the engineering field before becoming a therapist, so I understand the pressure of our environments firsthand and how it permeates through our lives. I work with teens and adults to manage the "inner critic" and the "achiever" parts of themselves that often drive burnout and stress. My approach is collaborative and I offer a space where you can feel seen and understood. Together we'll get to know the different parts of your identity—the professional, the worrier, the fun one and more—so you can lead with confidence.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists
What is Internal Family Systems therapy?
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?
IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?
As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
