Therapy is a unique journey for each individual. My approach is eclectic and client-centered, grounded in the belief you are the expert of your own story—the traumas you've endured, the life you've lived. I’m here as a clinician who values walking alongside you, collaborating to create a plan that supports your growth, builds new skills, and helps you reconnect with the most authentic version of yourself. I truly believe each of us has a purpose—a reason for being—that can sometimes be obscured by the weight we carry. Therapy, to me, is a space to gently unpack the heaviness, to breathe, and to learn how to move forward.

Are these thoughts familiar: "Why...?" "I can't seem to get out of this rut!" "I'm so tired of being tired." "I'm not me anymore." "I can't concentrate. I can't sleep. I worry all the time." Depression, anxiety, and grief are often the result of difficult events. The effects of trauma are forced upon us. Our body remembers and, over time, creates defenses that help us get through the experience. Our body speaks to us, but most often we either do not listen or do not understand what it is saying. I'll work with you to learn your body's language, bring unconscious responses to the surface, and reframe them in meaningful terms.

I am receiving clients face to face, by phone, or on secure video platform.
I use an interdisciplinary approach, which means I use different styles of counseling to meet the different needs and personalities of clients. I always allow their feedback so they remain comfortable. I try and meet their perceptual needs, emotional needs, cognitive needs, situational needs, and respect their individual personalities. I have worked with all ages, sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds (including the Middle and Far East), and social economic backgrounds.

Counseling can help you face challenges in order to improve and enrich your life. Whatever your goals or situation, there is help and relief. You can get the help you need in order to live a more balanced and fulfilling life. Imagining my ideal client, their issues could be around anxiety, depression, or suicidal ideation. Their needs could be wanting to have a better understanding of their anxiety, depression, or suicidal ideation, and work together to understand it. And their goals and what they wish to achieve could also be to have a better understanding of their anxiety, depression, or suicidal ideation, and techniques to help decrease anxiety in the nervous system to help the client feel more regulated.

I offer both in person and Telehealth therapy.
A large part of why I have chosen to be a counselor is to simply help those in need. Many people come to therapy wanting relief from life’s challenges, answers to hard questions, or simply to be seen by and connected to another. My hope is that by choosing to engage in therapy, you will be able to experience all the goodness that comes from being respected, valued, and cared for in a truly meaningful way.

You want to connect, but something keeps getting in the way. Maybe conversations turn tense, or you hold back because it feels easier than being misunderstood. You care deeply but still end up feeling alone, questioning why it’s so hard to be seen for who you really are. You might be exploring your identity, navigating relationships, or trying to heal from past pain that still echoes today. Life can start to feel like you’re always “too much” or “not enough.” Therapy offers space to slow down, understand what’s happening beneath the surface, and rediscover the parts of you that long to feel safe, accepted, and truly known.

I offer in-person therapy in downtown Renton or online to anyone located in Washington State.
Do you struggle with an inner voice that tells you that you are failing or not enough? Is it difficult to identify what you want? Do you consistently prioritize others over yourself? We live in a world that bombards us with messages about who has value and who does not. We are told “just try harder” and things will change. My clients come to therapy because despite a commitment to this hustle for worth, they remain dissatisfied. They feel stuck and resonate with the idea of putting their life on hold until they lose the weight, get the promotion, etc. Many say they are ready for something different but aren't sure where to start.

Is something in your life changing? Maybe in ways you didn't expect, and you're doing your best to keep going. From the outside, things may look okay. But inside, you feel overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of what will happen next. If this resonates with you, know that you don't have to carry it all by yourself.

When betrayal happens, it creates a painful divide: one of you is desperate for the truth to find solid ground, while the other is often paralyzed by shame and the fear that total honesty will end everything. This creates an exhausting cycle of 'trickle-down' information and constant questioning that makes healing feel impossible for both of you.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
