I use an interdisciplinary approach, which means I use different styles of counseling to meet the different needs and personalities of clients. I always allow their feedback so they remain comfortable. I try and meet their perceptual needs, emotional needs, cognitive needs, situational needs, and respect their individual personalities. I have worked with all ages, sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds (including the Middle and Far East), and social economic backgrounds.

I also work with people navigating body-focused repetitive behaviors (like skin picking or hair pulling), chronic pain, and PMDD.
My approach is rooted in decolonized therapy, liberation psychology, emotionally focused therapy, and existentialism. Together we’ll look both inward and outward—honoring the ways external systems have shaped your experience while developing coping strategies that meet your needs and help you move toward a life that feels authentic and meaningful.

Often, the individuals I support are navigating several areas of focus, including but not limited to: chronic pain and illness, dissociation and dissociative identities, complex trauma, histories of abuse, relationship challenges, searches for meaning, and family of origin concerns.
Trained in depth psychology, I am an ideal fit for anyone engaged in the process of self understanding, curious about life, and seeking to be known. My approach, while integrative, is rooted in relational psychodynamic psychotherapy, an evidence-based treatment. I believe the potential for deep healing, connection, and revitalization exists within this work.

I specialize in treating chronic symptoms ( pain, dizziness, fatigue, IBS, fibromyalgia, and others) via Pain Reprocessing Therapy.
I come to this work from my own experience: Years of distressing pain and other symptoms, endless medical experts without answers, and a shrinking life consumed with what I couldn't and should be doing to avoid pain led to stumbling upon this process and experiencing recovery- not just management. It is my privilege and joy to share that gift and freedom.

I use clinical hypnotherapy, inner child work, past life regression, QHHT, EFT, NLP, and therapeutic imagery to help clients heal trauma, manage pain, reduce anxiety, and release limiting patterns.
My ideal client is someone who is ready to heal from the inside out. They may be carrying the weight of childhood wounds, unresolved trauma, anxiety, or self-destructive patterns like addiction. Often, they’ve tried traditional approaches and still feel disconnected from themselves, overwhelmed by emotions, or unsure how to move forward. Their goals are deep: to feel safe, to understand their patterns, to quiet the inner critic, and to reconnect with a sense of purpose and peace. Whether through inner child healing, past life regression, or subconscious reprogramming, they are seeking not just symptom relief, but true healing.

Chronic Pain Therapists
How does chronic pain therapy work?
Engaging with a psychotherapist to help treat chronic pain does not mean that one’s pain is all in their head. Therapy for chronic-pain patients has been shown to benefit both the mind and the body, targeting physical symptoms and increasing daily functioning. In other words, for many, addressing their emotional health through therapy affects their physical health. A therapist can help a client challenge unhelpful thoughts about pain and develop new ways to respond to it, such as distraction or calming breathing techniques. Studies have found that therapy can be as effective as surgery for certain cases of chronic pain and many doctors recommend trying psychotherapy in advance of considering invasive surgery.

What are the most effective treatment options for chronic pain?
Stress, anxiety, depression, catastrophizing, ruminating, lack of activity, and social withdrawal all make chronic pain worse. Addressing these issues, research shows, can help people gain control over their pain symptoms. Therapeutic approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback, and mindfulness-based stress reduction, along with greater pain-management education, have been found to help people reduce fear and disability.

Are there new treatments for chronic pain?
Many cases of chronic pain, particularly those involving back pain, remain medically unexplained. But there is evidence that changes in the brain or nervous system are caused by previous physical ailments such as tissue damage; in such cases, the brain may continue to send out pain signals despite the physical cause having healed. To aid patients under these circumstances, a recently developed treatment known as pain reprocessing therapy (PRT) is designed to help the brain “unlearn” this response. A PRT practitioner helps individuals to reduce the “threat value” of their ongoing pain signals until they can reappraise them as less threatening and fear-inducing. They also help an individual to develop new emotional regulation skills.

How long does therapy for chronic pain take?
There is no set timeline for recovery from chronic pain, especially as there may be a range of physical and psychological causes for any individual’s discomfort, but most patients should expect to see a therapist for a number of weeks or months, typically spanning at least 12 sessions. Studies of pain reprocessing therapy found that many individuals’ experience of pain lessened in eight sessions over four weeks.
