Therapy is a unique journey for each individual. My approach is eclectic and client-centered, grounded in the belief you are the expert of your own story—the traumas you've endured, the life you've lived. I’m here as a clinician who values walking alongside you, collaborating to create a plan that supports your growth, builds new skills, and helps you reconnect with the most authentic version of yourself. I truly believe each of us has a purpose—a reason for being—that can sometimes be obscured by the weight we carry. Therapy, to me, is a space to gently unpack the heaviness, to breathe, and to learn how to move forward.

I use an interdisciplinary approach, which means I use different styles of counseling to meet the different needs and personalities of clients. I always allow their feedback so they remain comfortable. I try and meet their perceptual needs, emotional needs, cognitive needs, situational needs, and respect their individual personalities. I have worked with all ages, sexual orientations, ethnic backgrounds (including the Middle and Far East), and social economic backgrounds.

Are you desiring a deeper breakthrough? Have you tried the mainstream approaches and are you looking for something to shake old patterns loose? Do you have a glimmer of what you want, but can't quite reach your potential? Are you open to new ways of accessing insight? If so, we may work well together. I utilize a combination of methods to help you visualize what you are trying to achieve and what might be getting in the way. I use graphic (visual) facilitation and coaching to literally sketch our conversations in order to see new possibilities.

I’m Nitish with 20+ years practicing Counseling. My calling started during my 3rd year as a pre-med student. Something in me wanted to figure out why I felt like I had a chip on my shoulder. This lead me to investigating Psychology that became my vocation thereafter. Understanding why humans feel, think, and act in certain ways helped me to understand myself and people around me. I could feel God had given me new tools to learn about His pinnacle of creation. It was like gaining a window into my soul. After all, by definition, Psychology is the study of the soul.

Getting up in the morning, you wish you had a sense of joy. Work is dreadful. Endless meetings and classes leave you feeling the numb. You feel too dried out to pray or read scripture. Church services have become chores rather than hope. A nagging sense of your old family "stuff" is weighing you down. Feeling good has become a wish rather than an experience. You're not alone. Life doesn't have to be this way.

I have 15 years of corporate experience, so a special area of interest is career-transition work, including supporting you as you find your calling and dealing with work-related stress, anxiety and depression.
You should feel seen, heard and understood. You should never feel judged, and you should always feel welcome. If you choose to spend your time with me, that is what you can expect in therapy. Therapy is at your pace, and it starts with us building a relationship. I listen to your story, get to know you and your goals and learn how to best support you. Together, we look at who you are, what you believe and how you cope with challenges to determine a treatment plan that is right for you.

I am knowledgeable and experienced in the modern world of work and can help you navigate practical career challenges such as excessive stress, dread, failure, interpersonal conflicts, or lack of purpose, satisfaction, and meaning.
My practice is rooted in the idea that symptoms such as anxiety, disruption, or discontent can guide us in life if we step beyond formulas and certainties, toward a more curious and imaginative mode of being. By artfully seeking to understand emotional suffering, and through deepening relational connection, we can arrive at relief and healing. Uncovering and accommodating what has been previously outside of awareness releases meaning and allows for greater freedom of thought, self-expression, and wholeness.

Now accepting insurance. You may be sensing what feels like instability; you might feel more anxious, restless, or checked‑out than you used to, even if your life looks “fine” on paper, like your current way of working, relating, or coping isn’t sustainable. It could be you’re craving a more congruent way to live amidst burnout that doesn’t require burning everything down. There is a way forward.

There is a particular kind of exhaustion that comes not from failure, but from success. You've met every marker—and still sense that something essential is missing, or no longer fits who you're becoming. If you're facing a life transition, midlife or identity questions, anxiety, or a burnout that rest doesn't touch, this restlessness is not a flaw. Often it is intelligence—a signal that a deeper realignment is underway. I work with accomplished, successful-and-searching professionals at precisely these turning points.

Career Counseling Therapists
How do I know if I need career counseling?
Determining whether a career counselor is needed involves assessing one's current career and identifying what changes can be made to improve one's overall quality of life. In particular, feelings of loss of motivation, fatigue, anxiety, depression, procrastination, or ongoing levels of high stress can all be indicative of a need for career-related counseling. In addition, individuals changing jobs may want the decision-making support or self-reflection opportunities provided by a career counselor.

Who can benefit from career counseling?
Anyone can benefit from the self-reflection, skill development, and stress management techniques that career counseling can provide. However, individuals who are feeling overwhelmed or burnt out with their current job and individuals considering a major career change may particularly benefit from career counseling to improve their wellbeing. Additionally, individuals who are facing issues in their current job, such as coworker relationship challenges or not meeting performance goals, may benefit from the perspective that a career counselor can provide. College-age or young professionals may also uniquely benefit from career counseling as they make key decisions surrounding education and job training that will impact their career trajectory.

How long does career counseling typically last?
The length of career counseling can vary greatly depending on the needs of the individual and what type of support they are seeking. Career coaching or advising services—which serve clients in a specific, goal-oriented capacity—often last for a shorter duration and are sometimes only a single session or a few sessions in length. In contrast, career counseling as part of a more integrative therapeutic relationship with a counselor may last longer, particularly if the issues faced by the client are longstanding and/or more complex in nature; in such cases, individuals may expect therapy to last multiple months or longer.

How to prepare for career counseling?
Clients can prepare for career counseling sessions by outlining the specific topics they would like to address with the counselor, such as current job challenges or hopes for the future of their career. Compiling one's thoughts on such topics often requires reflection on one's career and future goals, which in itself can be beneficial for session preparation. Clients may also want to put together a list of questions they would like to ask the counselor, particularly if the career counselor they are seeing has particular expertise in a given career area. Conducting research into potential future jobs, training opportunities, or support resources in one's area may also help clients prepare for career counseling by providing them with a background of what resources are available in their area.
