Therapy is a unique journey for each individual. My approach is eclectic and client-centered, grounded in the belief you are the expert of your own story—the traumas you've endured, the life you've lived. I’m here as a clinician who values walking alongside you, collaborating to create a plan that supports your growth, builds new skills, and helps you reconnect with the most authentic version of yourself. I truly believe each of us has a purpose—a reason for being—that can sometimes be obscured by the weight we carry. Therapy, to me, is a space to gently unpack the heaviness, to breathe, and to learn how to move forward.

I am now accepting new clients! My approach to therapy is open minded, collaborative, and inclusive. I take a "come as you are" approach and encourage my clients to show up as their true selves for us to form a trusting therapeutic relationship. I offer support to my clients in their healing, pattern-breaking, life transitions, exploration of self, depression, anxiety, and relationship issues. I personally tailor my approach to each individual as therapy is not a “one size fits all.” I find value in community, connection, and laughter in both my daily life and therapy.

Ever think: "How did I end up here?" or "I never imagined {life event} would happen to me!" You are not alone! We can all relate to these sentiments. Most people do not end up in therapy because circumstances are unicorns and rainbows. Are you struggling with loss, or making meaning out of events that have left you feeling uncertain, shaken, in agony? Do you feel like you are starring in a scene from the film Ground Hog Day, where life is a series of frustrating, repeating events? You can make a successful transition to break this cycle, whatever that personal change is. You will get a sense of control back. A little Zen. Some hope.

Well done on the first step towards paths of healing. Developmental trauma (experiences as we grow, including our family of origin) shapes how we see the world, sometimes unsafe and challenging to navigate. Our attachments are the foundations in which we trust or find conflict. Developmental trauma may manifest in the body as anxiety, stress, distress, relationship difficulties, depression and more. There is healing to be found here, to be understood and nourished. The most important aspect of therapy is finding a person who makes you feel safe and heard; "right fit" is vital. I look forward to collaborating. Accepting new folx.

My ideal client is someone who feels stuck in painful or repetitive patterns and wants practical help creating meaningful change. Many of my clients struggle with anxiety, ADHD, trauma, emotional overwhelm, relationship conflict, OCD, compulsive behaviors, addiction, or difficulty understanding themselves and others. Some are highly insightful but feel frustrated that insight alone has not changed their life. Others feel exhausted, disconnected, reactive, or unsure how to move forward. I work especially well with neurodivergent teens and adults, professionals, couples, and people navigating communication difficulties.

“There is no standard normal. Normal is subjective. There are seven billion versions of normal on this planet.” - Matt Haig. So very often, we find ourselves facing the word "should". Who "should" I be, where in life "should" I be, what "should" I be able to do. Whether you are just learning who you are for the first time, or are in a place of transition in your life, the process can be very difficult and can often leave us feeling isolated, alone, misunderstood, and in the need of support.

My clients are self-aware but feel stuck. They may struggle with anxiety, relationship stress, low self-esteem, or pressure from work, school, or family. They want real change, not quick fixes. They are looking for a space that feels safe while also encouraging growth. Their goals drive them to understand their habits, manage their emotions more effectively, communicate clearly, and build healthier relationships. They are seeking the comfort of a confidant; someone who will help carry that weight, and maybe have a few laughs along the way. Ultimately, they are ready to break old cycles and create something different.

I believe that healing in the context of therapy is, at its core, about having someone bear witness to our pain. I’m inspired by the idea that we are all bent towards growth, healing, and our own self-actualization; sometimes we just need a companion as we tap into that internal compass. It’s my aim to hold a safe and empathic space for you rooted in curiosity, rather than a pursuit of any “ideal", as you embark on your healing journey. I take an eclectic approach in the counseling room, utilizing Attachment Theory, Somatic Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, Existential Theory, and Person-Centered Therapy, among others.

I work with teens and adults who are in search of relief from stress, anxiety, panic, anger, low-self-esteem, depression, and relationship issues such as codependency. In my practice, I recognize that being human is complex. Big and small traumas can hold someone back from taking care of themselves, seeing their potential, forming meaningful relationships, taking aligned risks, and living an authentic life. If you are interested in getting to the root of lifelong patterns and emotional triggers that are keeping you from living your best life, then I would love to join you on your healing journey.

Does insurance cover therapy, prescriptions and other behavioral health services?
In general, yes. Laws in the U.S. require insurers to cover essential behavioral health care at the same level as other health care services. Most health plans require a medical diagnosis and treatments that are evidence based and medically essential. This means that life coaching and alternative therapies are not covered, nor is therapy without a diagnosis. Call the number on the back or your insurance card or visit your insurance company's website to review your Summary of Benefits. If you have insurance through your employer, your Human Resources department may also be able to answer questions.

How much does therapy cost with insurance?
The cost of therapy depends on your region, how much training and experience your therapist has, and the type of treatment. The rate for talk therapy generally falls between $100 and $250. For a client seeing an in-network provider, the cost of therapy is often similar to the cost of other health care services. Clients pay co-pays and may need to satisfy a plan’s deductible before benefits kick in.

What is the difference between In-Network and Out-of-Network insurance coverage?
An in-network provider has contracted with an insurer to get paid directly for services, and to accept the insurer’s rate of compensation. Clients are responsible for deductibles and copays. If a therapist is out of network, that means that the client pays the therapist directly for services at the therapist’s regular fee. Out-of-Network providers often give clients a receipt so that they can file for partial reimbursement with their insurance company.

Is it difficult to find an In-Network therapist?
It is not unusual for therapists to limit the number of insurance patients in their practice, so it’s important to check in-network availability when you schedule your first appointment. In regions and times where therapy is in high demand it may take longer to get scheduled with an in-network therapist.

What is the difference between HMO and PPO insurance plans?
HMO health plans only cover in-network services, there is no reimbursement for out-of-network providers. PPO plans often cover both in- and out-of-network services, though the client may pay more for out-of-network services.

What is a Superbill?
A superbill is a receipt for therapy services. It provides all the information required by insurance companies to reimburse you for out-of-network services, including the diagnostic codes for your care, the amount paid, and the dates and duration of care.

Does insurance cover Online therapy?
Many therapists who shifted their practice to online therapy during the pandemic have kept that arrangement. And most insurers continue to cover telehealth services, with a few exceptions. Preventive care (such as an annual depression screening) is often required to be in-person to be covered, and some states require prescribers of controlled substances to see those patients in person.

Does insurance cover Group therapy?
Many insurance plans provide coverage for group therapy provided there is a medical diagnosis for group members, but there are some noteworthy exceptions. For example, Medicare does not always cover group therapy. Group therapy tends to cost less than individual therapy.

Does insurance cover Couples therapy?
Most insurance companies do not cover the cost of couples therapy because there is no medical diagnosis or medically necessary treatment. However, a few plans will offer a limited benefit, so it is still worth checking with your insurance company. Sometimes therapy is covered for a couple when one person has a diagnosis and another family member joins them for joint therapy, but it is considered therapy for the medical condition that includes a family member as a listener or helper, not couples counseling. Without insurance, most clients pay between $100-300 per 60-90 min session for couples therapy. Often clients can find classes or workshops that make it more affordable to work on their relationship. And some employers offer benefit plans that help defray the cost of couples therapy. Learn more about Insurance Coverage and Finding Affordable Therapy
