The thought of therapy can be confusing and maybe even a little intimidating. That’s why the root of therapy lies in the relationship between the client and therapist! No framework can replace the importance of a safe and collaborative relationship between a client and therapist. Together, we’ll foster an environment where you can rediscover your resilience, process your lived experiences, and work towards your goals. My true passion is working with couples and families as they navigate life’s challenges together. I specialize in supporting interracial and multicultural couples with communication and multicultural issues.
As a 1st gen Asian-American, I’ve experienced the difficulties of navigating multiple cultures and understand how this impacts our lives. Life doesn’t occur in a vacuum, so why should therapy? As a systemically trained therapist, I’ll guide you in exploring how racism, sexism, and other systems of oppression directly impact your life and your relationships.
I operate from a strengths-based, narrative therapy, and emotionally-focused framework. This helps me address relational dynamics, personal strengths, and emotional processing within our sessions. I aim to work with you to improve communication, explore vulnerabilities, heal past wounds, and develop new ways to connect. Looking forward to hearing from you!
