I work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, loss, life transitions, and relationship challenges.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes therapy works best when we slow down and pay attention to what truly matters. I specialize in grief and relationships, helping people understand the emotional and relational patterns that shape how they connect, cope, and care for themselves. Occasionally we find ourselves managing relationships with loved ones, colleagues, or others who may be unwilling or unable to seek therapy themselves. I understand that sometimes the challenge is not just about your own personal growth, but how to cope with and respond to others who may not be engaged in the therapeutic process.

You may be feeling depressed or anxious - or you may be in the midst of a transition – or trying to process a loss or a life change.
After years of doing this work, I know that, for those willing to take this journey, there is tremendous power in forming an honest, nonjudgmental relationship through which you can work toward discovering your core beliefs – those that serve you and those that block you. I am certain that this work is never done in vain.

I enjoy working with a wide variety of people who are struggling with anxiety or depression, or having a hard time in a relationship.
I like to learn about the specific situation and what else is going on. I believe that our past history, our economic situation, our physical health, our values and hopes, all affect how we feel. I look at the whole picture and then help people choose how to make changes.

Anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, unhealthy relationships-these are the situations in life that may lead us to forget how strong, resilient, courageous and joyful we can be.
I strive to provide a holistic approach to my practice. My professional interests include, but are not limited to, working with trauma recovery, grief, anxiety, and depression. I am also interested in nutritional psychology, exploring how what we put into our bodies can affect our feelings and behaviors and how feelings and behaviors can affect our bodies.

I treat late teens, adults, & seniors with sleep problems, ADHD, chronic medical conditions, and connected anxiety and/or mood disorders.
Are you having trouble ‘getting’ your brain and/or body to cooperate? This is a struggle common if you are living with insomnia, ADHD, or chronic medical conditions. If you have insomnia, chances are you have put forth every effort one can think of toward solving your sleep issues only to find limited success or even escalating symptoms. If you have ADHD, chances are you are really great at challenging or interesting tasks but struggle with the mundane - like laundry or routine paperwork. Wanting so badly to implement the things that are important to you but having them feel out of reach can be painful. But this can change!

Are you feeling emotionally exhausted, anxious in relationships, disconnected from yourself, or stuck in patterns that leave you feeling unseen and overwhelmed?
I bring both clinical expertise and genuine human connection to every session. You will not receive a one size fits all approach here, instead, I will meet you with empathy, straight talk, and strategies that fit you. Therapy with me feels collaborative, supportive, and at times a little surprising because real change rarely comes from playing it safe.

You constantly worry about not doing enough or being enough, relentlessly judge and criticize yourself (maybe even thinking this is the best way to grow and learn), feel exhausted from overthinking everything.
My work is grounded in mindfulness skills such as self-compassion, self-awareness, and (most difficult of all) nonjudgment. That may be our exclusive focus, or we may also use an IFS lens to explore parts of yourself that challenge you, EMDR to unpack difficult moments from the past, or a variety of other approaches to get to what is important to you.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions and relational trauma.
Do you over-give, people-please, stay guarded in relationships even when it leaves you feeling drained or like you've lost touch with yourself? Do you feel exhausted from being the dependable one, the one who overthinks texts, avoids conflict, and says yes when you want to say no? Do you wonder if your relationships could feel more secure, and life feel more like your own? Many high-functioning adults find themselves stuck in relational patterns they can’t seem to break, over-giving, over-functioning, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions while quietly neglecting their own.

I help clients struggling with anxiety, burnout, people-pleasing, self-doubt, and relationship patterns that feel one-sided or confusing.
You’ve always been the one others rely on, thoughtful, capable, and deeply caring. But lately, something feels off. You’re tired of overthinking, overgiving, and feeling disconnected from yourself. You want space to explore your inner world, reconnect with what you want, and finally make choices that take care of you. You’re not here for surface-level fixes, you want depth, clarity, and alignment. Therapy with me is a space to unravel old patterns, come home to yourself, and build a life that reflects your authentic self and actually supports you.

Anxiety Therapists
When should I seek treatment for anxiety?
Everyone feels anxious at times, but when anxiety causes disruption to your daily life, it may be time to seek help. Such disruption can be mental, physical, or both: having fear dominate your thoughts, avoiding situations or objects that bring on feelings of anxiety, or experiencing shortness of breath, sweating, dizziness, or panic attacks. When these symptoms are recurrent and distressing, it may be time to talk to someone.

What are the most common types of treatment for anxiety?
Talk therapy, particularly cognitive behavioral therapy, is the most common treatment for anxiety. Studies have shown it is equally effective as medication. Other popular forms of therapy are popular, depending on a patient’s experience. Exposure therapy, for instance, can be useful for people dealing with fears and phobias, or who have experienced traumatic events. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy may be useful for patients who need help with emotion regulation. Anxiolytic medications, like benzodiazepines, can also help with calming a person enough to focus on the skills they’ve learned, and physical exercise has been shown to help symptoms of anxiety across the board.

How long does therapy for anxiety take to work?
The amount of time needed to alleviate symptoms depends on the severity of a person’s condition. Some therapies may take 5-20 weekly sessions to show results. Anti-depressant medications typically take two to four weeks before a benefit is felt. Anti-anxiety medications are felt typically within 20-30 minutes. Medications are best used to offer a patient a better headspace in which to work on techniques learned in therapy. Exercise, improved sleep habits, and meditation are effective, but takes weeks or months to show results.

How effective is treatment for anxiety?
Treatment for anxiety has been shown to be moderately to highly effective, according to a large body of psychology studies and analyses. For some people, treatment using CBT or exposure therapy alone is effective. Others respond best to a combination of medication and therapy.
