I implement a variety of theoretical approaches that are strengths-based and person-centered, this includes solution-focused, narrative, feminist, somatic, dialectical behavioral and cognitive-behavioral therapies.
We all face challenges in our lives. The current climate of our world can often lead us to feel like our struggles are outweighing life's gifts. I work to help clients balance the different aspects of their lives. Together, we can challenge unwanted negative thoughts and work on changing how we react to the struggles that we face each day with a goal of strengthening healthy emotional regulation and coping skills. I believe in the importance and effectiveness of a strong therapeutic alliance between clinician and client, this alliance serves as the foundation for meaningful and rewarding treatment.

The way you think, feel, and act creates your reality. But what happens when the reality you're experiencing doesn't feel aligned with the life you deeply desire? Perhaps you've spent years overthinking, managing anxiety, striving for perfection, people-pleasing, or carrying the responsibility of being the one who always has it together. You may be successful and capable on the outside, yet internally feel emotionally exhausted, disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by stress, or trapped in the belief that no matter how much you accomplish, it's never enough.

My approach blends insight into patterns with practical, DBT-informed tools to support real, meaningful change.
Wednesday in-person appts available, telehealth available 7 days a week. Juggling school, relationships, identity, family expectations, and the pressure to figure out what’s next can be a lot. It’s easy to feel anxious, stuck, or unsure where to even begin. If you’re new to therapy, you’re welcome here. And if you’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t quite click, we can do this differently. I work with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, and feeling overwhelmed or disconnected.

Using trauma-informed approaches like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness, I help clients understand patterns, manage overwhelming emotions, and develop practical tools to feel more confident, grounded, and empowered.
Many of the women I work with feel emotionally drained, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or unsure of their own voice. Some are healing from emotional or domestic abuse, while others are overwhelmed by the pressures of motherhood and constantly putting everyone else first. You may struggle with anxiety, self-doubt, or difficulty setting boundaries. Deep down, you want to feel stronger, trust yourself again, and build healthier, more peaceful relationships.

Using Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, you'll learn practical & tangible coping skills to take charge of your emotions.
Your days seem to blend together, grasped tightly in the hands of pressures and to-dos. Most of your energy is spent trying to avoid mistakes or “bad” situations, but this exhausts you. It’s possible that you even spend a lot of time worrying about others, people-pleasing, running yourself ragged trying to keep your head afloat in the water you hardly recognize as your life. As you try to sleep your brain replays everything you “should” have done differently, things you have to do tomorrow, and whether or not everything you’re doing is even enough. It feels sometimes like you don’t even have control over your own mind.

I draw from attachment-based, somatic, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches to help you slow down, stay present, and develop practical tools for navigating emotions and stress.
I believe at the heart of therapy is the chance to slow down and come home to yourself. When life has been moving on autopilot and you feel overwhelmed, disconnected, emotionally heavy, or unsure what you need, the days can start to blur together and joy can feel harder to reach. You might feel emotionally flooded or on edge one moment, then shut down, numb, or exhausted the next, like your system is swinging between feeling everything and nothing at all. Therapy can be a place to gently reconnect with yourself and begin finding a steadier, more compassionate way of moving through life and feeling more at home in yourself.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.

Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.

What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.

How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
