Psychodynamic Therapists in Rutland, VT
My approach to therapy comes from a psychodynamic, person-centered, strengths-based, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and holistic perspective.
OPENING: Two daytime telehealth openings are currently available.
In my practice, I deeply value each client’s unique life experiences, personal history, and the ways they have learned to understand and cope with the world around them. I strive to create a safe, trusting, and compassionate space where clients feel supported, heard, and respected. Together, we work collaboratively so clients can explore their needs, build insight, and grow at a pace that feels comfortable and right for them. I currently work with ages 10-40.

You may feel emotionally unsettled, internally fragmented, or unsure how to make sense of recurring patterns in your relationships, desires, or sense of self. You might be functioning well on the outside while feeling constrained, disconnected, or quietly dissatisfied inside. Many people who seek my work are thoughtful, psychologically curious, and self-aware, yet sense that understanding alone has not brought the integration or ease they are seeking. Therapy may feel like a way to deepen self-experience, develop greater coherence, and live with more clarity, alignment, and emotional continuity.

Psychotherapy is a word that literally means to serve or attend to the soul. My practice tends to be a good fit for individuals who want to not only reduce distress, but also understand the deeper issues driving their symptoms including the recovery of any lost aspects of self that may be needed for genuine wellness. This can inspire living in ways that are more congruent with who you truly are, and healing at a core level

Welcome to the mountains of life. We move through life with many challenges which can feel difficult to navigate. We can get trapped in a cycle of trying to avoid mountains of stress, try to force ourselves to tunnel through the stress or broach the stress as if we are preparing to hike Mount Everest. What if there was another way, a way to learn to move WITH the mountains in our life? I support clients in developing unique and effective ways of improving their mental, emotional and physical health for lasting change. These interventions support clients in developing resilience to move WITH challenges which have/are faced.

We all experience challenges with situations in our lives that can cause us to feel anxious, depressed or upset. Do you want someone to talk to that is non-judgmental and can help you process difficult feelings and emotions? If so, I would be happy to talk with you about your goals for treatment and how I can support you in meeting them.

I draw from a psychodynamic lens, parts work, ACT, DBT, and EMDR, tailoring our work to your unique needs.
My ideal clients are adults who are often high-achieving, thoughtful, and self-aware—and who may still feel anxious, disconnected, or stuck despite “doing everything right.” Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism, body image or disordered eating, a complicated relationship with food and their body, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, or major life transitions. Often, they’re navigating the messy middle between who they’ve been and who they’re becoming. Liminal Space Psychotherapy is grounded in the idea of the liminal: the in-between space where old ways no longer fit and something new is beginning to emerge.
