I am not your typical therapist; I blend psychotherapy with spirituality . I am passionate about the exploration and evolution of human consciousness. I believe that we are spiritual beings having a physical experience. My focus is on working with intentionality to facilitate the merging of consciousness and energy as a tool for healing, personal transformation, better quality of life and fulfilling relationships . I work with mature individuals who are asking " who am I really?"; are committed to meeting and transforming their shadow self, understand and uphold universal laws and long to liberate their spiritual Being .

* Online * Intuitive * Integrative * When I first started searching for guidance years ago, I wanted something different than traditional psychotherapy. Something deeper. I felt stuck despite knowing many techniques that should have helped. Yes, I wanted someone to help me get unstuck and finally make the tangible, practical, positive changes necessary in my life -- and at the same time, I longed for something more meaningful than simply improving my daily existence. My years of seeking, study, and deep personal work have led me to the unique blend of psychology, spirituality , intuitive guidance, and energy work I now practice.

I work with those exploring social oppression, ancestry, allyship, grief/sorrow, spirituality (including spiritual abuse), sensitivity, and relationships.
Please contact via email first! (Easier for me to respond and get things started). I work well with clients seeking presence, compassion, and the space for vulnerability across a broad range of presenting concerns. My personal style supports witnessing and unburdening as much as "diagnosis" and "treatment". I offer validation and acceptance within a co-created relationship. Warmth and humor are necessary touchstones while we explore the arc of life.

UNFORTUNATELY, I AM NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS AT THIS TIME. I work with individuals who desire change in their life and want to experience a greater sense of well being and inner peace. As your therapist, I act as a guide, collaborating and helping you to access the larger sense of who you really are in the world, assisting in the process of deep internal discovery, and ensuring that our time together unfolds at a pace that brings about the change you desire. We all come up against thoughts or experiences that push us to the limit of what is comfortable, urging us to dig deeper for a way to connect with a sense of meaning or purpose in life. These periods of transition threaten our regular patterns of being, and for that reason life can feel messy and downright frightening for a while. What may have once been a comfort can suddenly trigger sadness, and what was known may be unknown. These challenges, while intensely uncomfortable, can create openings in our hearts and minds, inviting us to show up in life with courage and flexibility.

We all arrive on this Earth with a plan. Sometimes the plan gets muddled, confusing and scary. Sometimes our labeling of these experiences as “bad” can create stagnation in growth and deny us the insight that we need in order to stretch. This is where our work comes into play. Growth is constant. Growth is never ending, especially during challenging times/barriers. However, we only grow when we embrace and feel curious about the uncomfortability. I work closely with the LGBTQIA+ community. Folks of all races and ethnicities are welcome!

Stuck. Overwhelmed. Lost. Frustrated. Ashamed. These are deeply painful emotions. I work with adults aged 18 and up, and these are just some of the words that many of my clients use to describe the pain that prompted them to seek therapy. Perhaps you've experienced trauma, or are in a difficult relationship. You might be struggling to integrate faith or God into your experience, or maybe you prefer therapy that doesn't involve God at all. Maybe, you've just been feeling sad, disconnected, worried, or "out of it." No matter what, we usually want the same things: freedom. Peace. A deeper sense of and confidence in who we are.

Learn how to transform a life based in fear and anxiety into a life that is aligned with Bravery. At this time in our world, it is crucial that women learn how to make this shift and break free from the constraints that are keeping all of woman kind from equality, prosperity, and joy. Society and family create constructs and expectations of women that often do not serve our best interests. People pleasing, abandoning ourselves, and competing with one another for a precious seat at the table are amongst just a few of the destructive patterns that keep women locked in mediocracy.

Accepting self-pay only at this time. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. Life happens, so it helps to have a person who will really listen, without judgement. When we lay down our burdens, we begin to feel lighter, heal places that were hurt, and find a way back to our true selves. Therapy can be about self-development and coming to truly know and understand ourselves. People develop skills for managing life, emotions and relationships, claiming their self-worth and sense of competence. I specialize in supporting people with holistic, research based psychotherapy. CBT, ACT, IFS, ARC, DBT, and Jungian components.

Offering individual and couples therapy sessions in Massachusetts and Vermont. Freud believed that the goal of psychoanalysis is to free a person to love and to work. Similarly, I see therapy as a process of liberation that frees one to love and contribute to the world. The liberation of one person, sparks liberation in the rest of the world too. I believe that each of us has a unique contribution to make in the world. I see therapy as a process of freeing people to love and contribute. By liberating ourselves, we liberate others.

Spirituality Therapists

What should I expect from therapy that incorporates a focus on spirituality?

Spirituality can mean different things to different individuals, depending on their experiences, beliefs, and life histories. Some individuals focus on strengthening their belief system, while others experience spirituality in secular ways, such as through meditation, yoga, or by spending time in nature. Clients can expect a therapist to help guide and grow their spirituality through any of these techniques, encouraging the individual to cope with the challenges they face and develop strategies to build resilience and purpose to improve their outlook in life.

What are the most common treatments that include spirituality?

There are several treatments that incorporate spirituality. Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) helps a person examine and reframe their negative thoughts and behaviors. Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) focuses on emotional acceptance and psychological flexibility. Existential therapy is most often used to address anxiety, depression, grief, loneliness, apathy, despair, questions of identity, and feelings of purposelessness and existential dread. Transpersonal therapy focuses on a client’s spirituality and meaning in life and may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork.

Can therapy incorporating spirituality help atheistic or agnostic individuals?

Yes. For non-believers, spirituality can offer benefits including a greater sense of connection to others and to the natural world. An interest in spirituality may also spur individuals to pursue mindfulness practices, or to contemplate their purpose in life and how to achieve it.

How effective is spirituality as a therapeutic remedy?

Research suggests spirituality is generally beneficial for individuals. It is correlated with better health habits, such as less substance use, and an improved capacity to cope with stress and other mental health challenges. Increased spirituality can lead individuals to become more empathic and less materialistic, as well.
