My passion comes from helping people move past the losses and traumas of their past and into a rich and full life. Trauma and the losses we experience in life can wound us on every level - physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. My desire is to see you pick up the pieces and create a beautiful life beyond the struggle of grief, anxiety, postpartum difficulties, infertility, disordered eating, childhood abuse, and other painful life events. My approach is one of compassion, honesty, and a little bit of sass - to help you rediscover a life of passion, beauty, joy, fulfillment, and empowerment.

Do you feel like you’ve had to hide parts of yourself or like you’re constantly shrinking to meet the expectations of everyone else? I’m a trauma-informed therapist working with adults and teens navigating anxiety and disconnection from self. The folks I'm passionate about supporting often carry stories about who they were “supposed” to be. These stories can be rooted in family dynamics, gender roles, and cultural expectations. In our work together, we’ll explore how your experiences have shaped the way you move through the world and how you can begin to show up more fully and freely.

Reaching out for support takes courage, and my goal is to make that step feel worth it. I work with adults, teens, children, and families who are navigating trauma, relationship challenges, emotional regulation, and the often-tricky process of setting and maintaining boundaries. My approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation, grounded, compassionate, and a chuckle. Together, we’ll explore what’s been getting in the way of feeling steady and help you build tools for emotional balance and connection.

Life is a lot right now. You're not alone! Healing goes beyond symptom relief. t’s about exploring who you truly are. We often build an “ego” to meet others’ expectations, but this can keep us from our deeper selves. Together, we’ll peel back these layers, not to remove the ego but to understand it. Vulnerability here is powerful; it helps soften old wounds and release limiting beliefs. Using mindfulness and self-compassion, you’ll start connecting to your true values and gain resilience. Therapy offers a safe space to reconnect with your inner wisdom, embrace your genuine self, and discover a more fulfilling way of being.

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, especially if you are used to handling things on your own. On the outside, life may look “fine,” but internally you might feel anxious, burnt out, or overwhelmed. I work with teens, college students, and adults who are used to pushing through and meeting expectations, but feel stuck underneath. I offer in-person therapy in Barre, VT, and telehealth across VT and Maryland.

I provide psychotherapy for teens (16+) and young adults navigating various challenges including life transitions, relationship issues, trauma, and self-esteem. When it comes to therapy, there is no 'one size fits all' approach. Instead, your unique needs, values, and goals, will lead the therapeutic process. With the awareness that you are the expert in your own life, it is my goal to create a space that empowers you to connect with your most authentic self and navigate life's challenges.

After 14 years of a cash-only private practice as a Life Coach, Holistic Health Practitioner, and Medical Intuitive, I can now sustainably work as a therapist with those who cannot afford care without insurance. Having worked with clients who live in 9 different countries, I found that almost all psychological and relationship issues are the result of acute or chronic violations of free will, free speech, informed consent, and self-governance as a unique yet interconnected individual. The impairment of willpower appears to be made worse by external motivators and addictive substances or behaviors in the long-run.

My goal as a therapist is to understand a person and their situation by paying close attention to them, asking questions, and using what I have learned from past experience. I think understanding different parts of a person’s life helps create a more complete picture of what is keeping them stuck, unhappy, unaware, or unsatisfied. From there it’s possible to help make changes and face difficult circumstances. My clinical and research work has focused on anxiety, stress, PTSD, moral injury, and helping people suffering from the impact of trauma.

I approach our time together in therapy with deep respect and a spirit of collaboration. My practice is rooted in trust that each person can get in touch with the strength they need to face the challenges life brings. Whether those challenges are shaped by the heat of frustration, the discomfort of fear or worry, the emptiness of numbness, the immobilization of shame, or the grief of isolation, I will walk alongside you in the hard places. By making sense of the hardest moments, we find our way towards the things that you hold dear.

Life is full of emotions, sometimes its joy but sometimes its a sense of struggling and pain. Anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship/marital problems can all add to this sense of struggling. Especially, when we aren't well equipped to withstand it. Sometimes that struggle feels like this heavy cloud or mask we walk around with. Sometimes that struggle isolates us and causes us to become disconnected from ourselves or our loved ones. Playing tug of war with that struggle only makes it more draining.

It is a nightmare: you don’t want to sleep, nor do you want to wake up. You go through the day feeling numb, empty and hopeless. Your world has turned upside down! Losing a loved one or hearing the words “you have a life-threatening illness” makes you want to scream, run away or curl up into a ball. “How can this be happening to me” You yearn for the world you once knew, one that was predictable, familiar and comfortable. You want to embrace the day, not dread it. Is it ever going to be possible to laugh, smile and be you again?

A person's strength and uniqueness are their best assets and are the foundation for their success. Each person is individual with their response to potentially traumatic event(s) and need an equally individual way of processing and overcoming the barriers that come from experiencing trauma. Each person must be given the attention, respect, and time to work through any traumatic event, which is much more successful when you have someone there to process this trauma with you. What you can expect from sitting in a therapy room with me is mutual respect, understanding that trauma is diverse, and patience since healing work takes time.

The brain has an immense capacity to change and grow over a lifetime. Clinical research demonstrates that even a few months of mindfulness practice can be effective in treating chronic stress, depression, anxiety, addictions, and pain, and can boost performance under pressure, enhance relationships, and improve enjoyment of work. All the science is well and good, but in the midst of suffering and struggle, a method only works to the extent that it can be implemented. This is where a relationship with someone knowledgeable, skilled, and compassionate, who can partner with you along your unique path, can be of massive benefit.
