I see clients in person and telehealth.
I use an integrated approach when treating clients no matter if they are a young child, teen or an adult. I am very person-centered. What may work for one client may not work for all. I believe in identifying and tapping into one’s unique qualities and using those as tools to help one reach their goals. Having an open mind and reflecting on what you want to see change is key. Your goal could be anything from abstaining or lowering substance use, to setting healthy boundaries, to addressing trauma, to wanting to build better relationships with others, to making a career change, to wanting a better relationship with yourself.

My ideal client would be anyone who wants to bring a change to their lives. Someone who feels unfulfilled currently. Someone who has aspirations, dreams, and goals. Someone who struggles with their past. Someone who struggles with relationships, trauma, anxiety, depression, expressing or understanding the depths and origins of their emotions. Someone who feels ready to start both diving deep and climbing mountains. To put it succinctly: If you're looking at this page, rest assured, you matter, and I would love to work with you.

As a therapist I work to understand people and their life circumstances by forming a sincere, respectful, and compassionate therapeutic relationship unique to each person. I believe focusing on a range of different aspects of a person’s life helps create a more complete picture of what is keeping them stuck, unhappy, unaware, or unsatisfied. From there it’s possible to help make changes and face difficulties. In particular, I have experience working with anxiety, panic, depression, stress, PTSD, trauma, and moral injury. More generally-life adjustments, meaning/purpose, identity/self-esteem, relationship patterns, and coping.

Accepting new private pay clients for in person and online sessions.
You may look like you are holding things together, but inside you feel anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, stuck, or disconnected. Many of my clients are navigating life transitions, relationship strain, family stress, work pressure, motivation struggles, or the weight of carrying a lot for others. This can include professionals and high-responsibility people who seem successful outwardly but feel strained internally. I help clients slow things down, understand what is happening, identify patterns, and build steadier, healthier ways to move through life.

Are you struggling to find a sense of satisfaction in life? Are you feeling overwhelmed in your daily routine? What has defined you, the opinions and assumptions of others or your strength in the face of the same? Are your relationships causing stress? I consider myself a generalist. I work guided by what I learned in grad school integrated into the life I've lived so far. I am a student of my own continued experience and hope to inspire others to understand the relationship they have with theirs. I welcome all people from all backgrounds including those who are neurodivergent.

I work with people 15 and older, as well as couples.

Both in-person, virtual, or combination!
Life is full of emotions, sometimes its joy but sometimes its a sense of struggling and pain. Anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and relationship/marital problems can all add to this sense of struggling. Especially, when we aren't well equipped to withstand it. Sometimes that struggle feels like this heavy cloud or mask we walk around with. Sometimes that struggle isolates us and causes us to become disconnected from ourselves or our loved ones. Playing tug of war with that struggle only makes it more draining. Let's figure out a way to make that struggle less intense together.

I am currently seeing clients in person and via telehealth
A person's strength and uniqueness are their best assets and are the foundation for their success. Each person is individual with their response to potentially traumatic event(s) and need an equally individual way of processing and overcoming the barriers that come from experiencing trauma. Each person must be given the attention, respect, and time to work through any traumatic event, which is much more successful when you have someone there to process this trauma with you. What you can expect from sitting in a therapy room with me is mutual respect, understanding that trauma is diverse, and patience since healing work takes time.

Meet with me in person or by telehealth (video call).
My ideal client is navigating compulsive substance use patterns and also carrying spiritual questions—deconstructing, rebuilding, or simply curious. They want relief from shame and anxiety, steadier emotions, and a recovery path that respects both science and the soul. I blend evidence-based counseling with non-dogmatic practices—present-moment awareness, somatic work, breath, and simple Qigong if desired. Your values set the direction—no religious pressure. The aim goes beyond abstinence: nervous-system stability, honest relationships, purpose, and an authentic life.

FAQ - About In Person Therapy
What are the benefits of in-person therapy?
In-person therapy offers several benefits that some people find highly valuable for their mental health treatment. Being present in the same room as your therapist can create a stronger sense of connection and allow for more nuanced communication through body language. Some people may also find it easier to focus in therapy when they are in a dedicated space and away from potential distractions related to home or work; attending an in-person session provides a clear boundary between therapy time and the rest of your life. For certain therapeutic approaches, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), exposure therapy, or somatic therapy, being in person may be particularly important, as these therapies benefit from the therapist being able to observe and respond to a client’s physical cues effectively. Additionally, some individuals simply feel more comfortable discussing sensitive or painful topics when they are face-to-face with their therapist rather than on a screen.

When should I choose in-person therapy over online therapy?
In-person therapy may be a better choice when you need a structured therapeutic environment separate from your daily life, when you find it difficult to focus or feel comfortable in an online setting, or when privacy at home is a concern. It may also be more appropriate if you are dealing with severe mental health symptoms that require close monitoring or if your therapy involves approaches that rely heavily on observing physical cues. On the other hand, if convenience, scheduling flexibility, or access to specialists outside your immediate area are priorities, online therapy may be a better fit. Many therapists offer both options, so you can also discuss with a provider which format might work best for your specific situation.

How do I find an in-person therapist?
You can use Psychology Today's therapist directory to find an in-person therapist in your area. You can search by location, insurance accepted, specialty areas, therapeutic approaches, and other criteria to narrow down providers who meet your needs. Each therapist profile includes information about their credentials, areas of expertise, and whether they offer in-person sessions. Once you have identified potential therapists, you can contact them directly through the directory to schedule an initial consultation and determine whether they are a good fit before committing to ongoing treatment. When reaching out, it can be helpful to confirm their availability for in-person appointments, their office location, and whether they accept your insurance.
