My name is Vonetta Hubbard and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) based in Massachusetts, working with clients statewide via Telehealth. I work with adults and adolescents and specialize in depression, anxiety, stress, and trauma using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help my clients with empowerment to feeling better. I have found that my style of therapy is good for teens, young adults, and older adults facing life challenges and societal pressures. I work to help my clients navigate these challenges and build skills that they can utilize to feel better and improve their overall outlook on life.
My approach to goal setting is to first establish trust. Then we will work together to determine what you ultimately want to accomplish from therapy. Once the desired outcome is defined, then I will assist with setting short-term and long term goals to achieve the desired outcome.
During the first session, we will spend some time getting to know each other and building a connection. We will also spend time discussing how you have been feeling and what brought you to therapy. Each person is different and this time will be spent listening to your concerns, which will help me to understand you as a person.
