I have worked in the field of psychology throughout my entire career. Beginning in graduate school, I was able to gain experience working in a private psychiatric hospital and later worked on various research projects focusing on marriage, self-management, television impact on children, and others. Upon graduating, I took a position of Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology at SMU then later transitioned to private practice. I have had my practice of psychology for more than 30 years.
I received my BA degree (Psychology) from the University of Texas at Arlington then later completed my MA degree (Psychology) from San Francisco State University. My PhD (Psychology) was awarded in 1982 from Stony Brook University- New York. I work with individuals, couples and families. My book, Marriage is a Business, is available at Amazon.com.
I've been fortunate having a career in practicing psychology. Each person enters therapy with a unique history of experiences and unique issues arising from/within those experiences. I believe it is my job to help them alleviate any emotional distress and learn psychological knowledge/skills that help them resolve issues and prevent future distress.
