It is your journey but we travel it together. A client needs to be motivated to change, able to give and take feedback and be ready to take responsibility for his/her own life. My approach to therapies - psychotherapy, biofeedback and hypnosis all stress increasing conscious awareness of YOU so that you can have greater control and choose the life you want to live.
I work from a whole person perspective. It is not that the mind and body affect each other - they are one and the same - just different aspects of you. For example - Often an emotion is experienced as a physiological sensation before it enters the conscious mind.
I use many modalities because each client learns and changes in different ways. I use spoken language, biofeedback devices, hypnosis, computers, books, music, recordings, homework assignments, journaling, art work, photography, movement, whatever seems to resonate with a particular person.
