I specialize in post-partum depression, affective disorders, and the effects of trauma (PTSD) on the development of the self. Psychotherapy is a therapeutic relationship between you and me. We investigate what things are working for you and what are not. We sort through the "how come" of it all, so that you have more knowledge about yourself and the freedom to make informed choices.

I originally trained in the physiology and neurology of human development; so am a clinical psychologist with varied experiences in how and why we humans behave in the ways that we do. So, together, we can understand and learn both the biological and psychodynamic nature of your emotional world.

As a specialist in human development, I do not lead in your process of discovery, but encourage curiosity and investigation. I ask and invite questions, and have a responsibility to share with you my own observations and thoughts as we work together during the psychotherapy process.
