Welcome! Therapy is an important form of self-care. Anxiety, depression, grief & loss, life transitions, and relationship conflicts are often issues that lead people to seek a counselor. Or sometimes a person has experienced an upsetting or even life-threatening event. For over twenty years I have assisted individuals, couples, and families in working through these and other concerns. While many may encounter similar difficulties, each person is unique. Your strengths, intuition, and creativity are key in your movement toward well-being.
My approach is pragmatic and eclectic, warm and conversational. I hold a depth psychological view and maintain a compassionate eye toward any past experiences which may be causing current distress. When appropriate, I utilize EMDR to bring gentle resolution to these memories. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional - Level 2.
I am a wife, mother, and grandmother. I was a visual artist for many years before becoming a psychotherapist. My work in varied counseling settings in Albuquerque, private practice in both Houston and currently in Dripping Springs, has taught me much about human resilience and the courage it takes to embrace healthy change.
