After an affair or other rough patch, I help couples restore their marriage. I give specific homework tailored for each couple to work on rebuilding their relationship. I guide the husband and wife in developing healthy communication patterns. I strive to model grace and truth in my counseling by delicately addressing problems - sexual addictions, emotional affairs, workaholism, alcoholism, perfectionism, control issues, rage issues, etc. I am direct and have a structured approach for each couple. The work is hard, but good. My couples who do the work, stay together and have a thriving marriage.
I am a very visual person. We will work together as a team to diagram, list, or draw out the issues at hand. At your pace, we will set realistic, achievable goals. I will give you handouts to better explain issues. We develop steps to help you achieve your goals.
My wife is a counselor as well. We work together in the same practice. I gain a lot of valuable insight from her. I relax by reading dense historical biographies, playing recreational tennis and basketball, petting my dogs, and cooking with my wife. I also design stained glass windows.
