Many people come to therapy feeling stressed, anxious, exhausted, or unsure why the same problems keep showing up. You may be carrying difficult experiences from the past, questioning yourself, grieving a loss, struggling in a relationship, or dealing with changes in your health or life. I work with adults and couples and have more than 15 years of experience. I’m a first-generation immigrant, Afro-Latina, Indigenous, multiracial, and a trauma survivor. I have also experienced anxiety, depression, grief, and loss in my own life.
I help people understand how trauma and difficult past experiences can still affect emotions, relationships, self-worth, and responses to stress. We may use practical tools to question unhelpful thoughts, manage difficult emotions, and make choices based on what matters to you. With couples, we look at the cycles you get caught in and how to change them.
I provide therapy in English and Spanish and enjoy working with people from different cultures, identities, backgrounds, and life experiences. You do not need to share my background to work with me.
