I believe that healing happens as we experience healing relationships and in our time together, we will work to build trust amongst us to help you transform. The therapeutic process can be a mirror for how you show up for yourself and navigate your personal relationships — as we build safety and capacity in the therapy room, you will simultaneously realize that you hold much more safety and capacity within yourself. As an Indian-American queer-identifying therapist, I welcome discussions around intersectionality, identity, and how our difference/sameness affects our therapeutic relationship.
I work primarily from a psychodynamic and interpersonal lens, meaning we look at how unconscious narratives and beliefs from your past inform your current patterns. We will focus on the here-and-now of what’s showing up in the therapy room and how that can become a reflection of the way you move through the world.
Many of my clients are adults and couples who want to work through experiences of anxiety, relational challenges, and childhood trauma. I additionally specialize in supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, first and second-generation immigrants, and survivors of sexual assault/violence.
