In my practice, I have the opportunity to help many clients with a variety of needs. I have worked with people as young as nine and have been fortunate enough to work with couples well into their fifties and individuals in their seventies. My clients have had concerns ranging from learning how to better function in relationships to recovering from trauma. My goal is always to move people to a place where they become equipped to better deal with life's struggles by equipping them with skills needed to face challenges.

My purpose is to guide and facilitate my clients in discovering the goodness and tenderness that we all possess inside ourselves. I work from a mindfulness-based practice of "being with what is," while teaching clients how to utilize their body as an ally in their healing journey. I provide counseling for individuals, couples, teens and families. In person or via Skype or phone.

I work with clients struggling with sexual addiction, marriage issues, betrayal trauma, failure to launch, depression, anxiety and substance addiction.

Born and raised in Dallas, Texas, I struggled with drug and alcohol addiction at an early age. Today, I am proud to say that I have maintained sobriety since 2008. My desire to help others launched me into an academic and career path focused on helping those and their families impacted with addiction and mental health issues. I have worked in several different treatment settings, such as hospitals, residential treatment, and sober living. I utilize several different modalities and approaches to therapy to work with individuals, couples, and families. I also do interventions on those battling any addiction.

I'm an Adlerian therapist who is trained in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (A beautiful & effective model of therapy) and have specialized in helping couples for the last 15 years. My mission is to help all my clients make quality improvements in their lives. I have years of experience in individual, family, couple, and group counseling. I integrate several forms of psychotherapy approaches such as Internal Family System, BrainSpotting, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral therapy (TB-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and more, to tailor treatment to my clients' individual needs. As a part of the Gen Z population, Micah has found his passion and purpose for adolescents, young adults, and adults of all ages looking for solutions for their well-being. Micah does individual, group and family therapy for his community. Micah provides group therapy for specific needs and areas of need. Micah has a passion for family therapy and uses multiple therapeutic approaches to assist families.

I have a passion for helping those with dealing with relationship conflict, spiritual trauma, chronic illness, caregiving fatigue, and faith crises. I am also comfortable with working through the many forms that depression, anxiety, loneliness, and grief can take. I am dedicated to meeting you wherever you might be in your life journey, especially in those periods of transition that can prove trying.
