I can see your strength, even when you cannot. I use my education and experience in psychology to lead you to discover your most authentic self. I believe that we all develop patterns of behaviors due to our life circumstances that can be both positive and negative. By examining these patterns in behavior and thought and how they serve us, one can make changes to improve life. I am an action-oriented therapist who believes therapy should not end as soon as you leave the office. I will often give techniques to practice or topics for further reflection.
I have many areas of professional interest that I have received training and education including mindfulness, positive psychology, women's health, holistic health and I have completed a 200 hour yoga teacher training. You will find elements of all of these theoretical orientations and philosophies in my therapeutic practices.
Over the past year and a half I have been passionate about increasing my competency in providing affirming care to the LGBTQ community by receiving training, education and supervision from experts and colleagues in the field.

Kimberly Meyers Libby's Groups

Middle School Girls Group

Middle school years are a tough time for our youngsters. It is a transitional time between childhood and adolescence that warrants a new set of coping skills. This group's goal is to teach the necessary skills in a therapeutic environment to navigate this time with success. Topics include social skills, anxiety management techniques, anger management techniques, etc. This is a semi-structured group that I find best if it evolves with the needs of the group.

More about this group

High School Girls Group

The High School Girls Group provides an opportunity for adolescents to share and relate to others in similar experiences. The group topics tend to be more mental health based like coping with anxiety, depression, interpersonal relationships. social stress/peer pressure, and problem-solving. The goal of the group is to build coping skills and encourage self understanding and self compassion during this stage.

LGBTQ Adolescent Support Group

Our LGBTQ youth can experience difficult and confusing feelings during adolescence that have the potential to leave them feeling alone. This group hopes to provide a sense of community among similar aged peers where they can feel safe discussing whatever successes and struggles they have related to gender identity or sexual orientation. Overall this group's goal is to reinforce positive feelings of self-worth and understanding and to provide education in how to cope with any negative feelings that may arise.
