I spent seven years as a collegiate head coach in cross country and track and field, rejoined my dream of counseling in 2020, and started our practice in 2022. My caseload is made up of 70% youth between 4 and 18, 30% adults, and about 75% men and boys, overall. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, techniques from play therapy for the youngest clients, and see couples with an assertive REBT action-oriented style. I use powerful somatic methods (including EMDR) to help you work through/resolve thoughts, emotions and physical reactions. I particularly welcome military veterans, first responders, and those abused as children. Many people suffering from ongoing effects of trauma just want to know how to cope. But often more is available than just coping, sometimes much more. Healing is possible. Your body (including your mind) is always trying to heal. I would be honored to participate in this with you.
