Tierney has been working in Mental Health in a variety of settings including private practice, inpatient/PHP/IOP, University Counseling Centers, and short-term virtual mental health programming. Tierney as a practitioner sees herself as passionate about the patient/therapist alliance. She feels this is one of the most important factors in patient progress and healing, “We are co-pilots on this journey, I am not working for you, I am working with you”.

With 20 years of experience working in the helping profession with children, adolescents, families and adults and the last 11 years serving as a licensed professional counselor, I am able to accurately and effectively evaluate and treat most issues arising within each of these groups and across multiple settings.
