"Do you find yourself feeling stuck in certain feelings? We call emotions "feelings" because they are experienced physically first, and then words are put to what is felt. If talking yourself out of uncomfortable feelings isn't working, you may want to try body-based therapy. All of your emotions are needed to fully express yourself, just as a dancer needs a full range of motion, and an artist needs every color. I help clients to cope with uncomfortable and painful feelings in order to open up to feeling safe experiencing the full range of human emotions."

"ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS. Everyone functions uniquely. I focus compassionately on emotions, thoughts, behaviors, and relationships to examine patterns and slowly change them. Our ability to observe and use our will to change are the most powerful tools we possess to bring about changes we desire. "In psychotherapy, we work together to understand the meaning of your symptoms and the sources of your pain. This process is unique to each individual, but usually includes the exploration of the following elements as they relate to your past, present, and future: beliefs, emotions, defenses, recurring patterns, and relationship dynamics. Therapy at its best calls forth our deepest sense of who we are. It dares us to break free from our history and safe strategies of the anxious mind. It gives us the courage to give voice to our deepest longings—the desire for meaning, love, belonging, and a sense of comfort in our own skin."

"Stressed, depressed, anxious? Being human isn't easy. Being with other humans can be even more challenging! Sometimes it helps to talk to someone non-judgmental to help sort things out, explore new ground, find a different way to deal with the same old patterns, or know yourself (and a loved one) in a new way. Therapy can take many different forms to suit your needs, anything from short term problem solving to a longer term journey of self discovery and renewal. Let's find out together what you are looking for."
