My intention is to help my clients identify hurts and habits that keep them from living their full potential and work through them. My goal is to provide a helping hand to clients in need and help them discover peace and purpose. I have over eight years of experience as a professional counselor serving children, adolescents, adults and families through a range of challenges.

I also specialize in working with men’s intimacy concerns including concerns with sexual function and problematic sexual behaviors. Sometimes life throws a lot at us and we don’t always ask for help when we need it. I am licensed professional counselor (LPC) with almost a decade of experience working as a counselor. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology for University of Texas-Austin and my Master of Arts in Psychology from University of Houston Clearlake. I believe that we all have the potential toward growth and optimization when we have and use the necessary tools, alongside patience, to face and overcome life’s challenges. My goal is to encourage you as you navigate through the process of self discovery, acceptance, and change.

For nearly 15 years, I have worked with and supported adolescents and adults, from various backgrounds, through social, emotional, spiritual and/or mental health challenges they are facing or may have faced in their past. I work with my clients to identify and prioritize the people, issues and things that are challenging them most. I support my clients and help them determine who and what they are able to take responsibility for, change, control, or release. The ultimate goal is for my clients to create lasting Peace, Balance, and Joy in their lives.

Hello! I'm a Licensed Psychological Associate and I received my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology both from University of Houston-Clear Lake. I work with adolescents and adults regarding a variety of concerns including life changes, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, ADHD, and trauma.

Sometimes, despite your best efforts, the challenges of life can make you feel anxious, stressed, helpless, and overwhelmed. It is during these times that you need extra support and new coping skills. It takes great courage to reach out for help. Finding the right counselor is an important first step on your journey to overall wellness and personal growth. As your counselor, we will work together to help you process your life experiences in a way that leads to increased confidence and self-esteem, and a greater capacity to effectively navigate the complex challenges of your life.

My ideal clients are Black Women who are show up as strong accomplished women, but behind closed doors struggle with worry if they are enough. This shows up as anxiety, depression and just plain confusion. Ispeci alize in faith based counseling believing wisdom and prayer are both necessary when we are seeking God's will for our life. Transitions can be difficult from time to time and I work with you to decide what's next AND what's best for you. If they aren't, we explore your beliefs and find another point of view, another perspective that is also true but helpful and nourishing for you. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), Registered Play Therapist Supervisor (RPT-S), certified early childhood–12th grade special education teacher and certified school counselor. I have my master’s degree in counseling and my PhD in counselor education and supervision. I have provided counseling services for nearly 9 years and used ARET techniques for over 6 years as the creator and founder of Aquatic Relational Experiential Therapy, a mental health and play therapy technique used in water. Additionally, I have 11 years experience with solution focused, CBT, experiential, person-centered and play therapies.

My typical clients tend to be adult men of the African American community or gay men between the ages of 25 to 41 years old, working professionals who are either undiagnosed or diagnosed with Adult ADHD, and typically are adult children of alcoholics whose drinking has significantly contributed to primary issues within their lives. Rather it be relationship problems, self-esteem issues, co-dependency or even their own overindulgence in feel good activities. Their goal is to simply break the cycle and take control of their lives, so they can establish a new and healthy way of living

I believe strongly in the resiliency of the human spirit and, as a therapist, I look for ways to build upon the unique strengths each person or couple brings into the counseling office. It is essential that clients feel accepted and understood and begin to experience freedom from guilt and shame. Guilt is resolved through forgiveness and shame through self-acceptance. I always feel humbled by the courage my clients exhibit as they share their deepest struggles and honored for the trust they give to me.

I don’t have an ideal client, I believe every client that comes to me deserves to be treated with respect, empathy and compassion. Whatever the need is, I’m here to assist.
