I provide therapy for adults and highly motivated older teens, primarily through EMDR. I specialize in trauma recovery, anxiety, identity exploration and acceptance, and LGBT+ issues (Including GAS letters). I enjoy helping clients work through childhood trauma and/or ongoing traumatic stress especially with power-based violence, cancer, cult survivorship, religious trauma, accidents, natural disasters, and C-PTSD. Hello! My name is Amanda and I'm a licensed clinical social worker providing services remotely to adults living in Washington and Montana states. I'm grateful for the time I've spent working in community mental health and hospice. My clients have experienced grief, loss, anxiety, and depression, among other things. Their willingness to persevere shows remarkable strength and resilience.

Life is difficult and painful sometimes, but it can also be wonderful and fulfilling. My hope and goals are to help you have the relationships and life you desire. As an MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist) Intern, I am supervised by Dr. Darren Adamson (SMFT), Dr. Meg Williams (SMFT), and Terry Spring (LCPC) with Terry Spring Therapy. Along with my education, they provide expert guidance to help me help you.

I am a genuine counselor who works to help you find peace within yourself. I work with adolescents and adults with a wide variety of issues like PTSD, attachment, emotion dysregulation, trauma, and more. I also work with couples and families to increase communication and connection. I help people find acceptance for themselves while walking alongside them to find the growth they desire. Welcome to Big Sky Counseling, a compassionate space to move toward healing. Our primary areas of focus include OCD and related Anxiety Disorders (see below for more details on expanded areas of support we offer) . We approach treatment by integrating structured ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), and CBT/ICBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to disrupt the obsessive-compulsive cycle and return to values-based living. We are currently scheduling new telehealth clients for clients residing in MT with Ashley Schwartzman, PCLC, under the clinical supervision of Kelli Smith, LCPC.
