The most important part of therapy is building a good rapport with the individual to create a safe and comfortable space. Therapy isn't always easy and neither is the decision to find a therapist; working to ensure clients are comfortable with me and helping them to identify their goals so that the treatment trajectory is predictable, but allows for space to talk about day to day events, if needed. Lastly, ensuring client and therapist personalities align is important as it only enhances the sense of safety and the capacity for positive rapport growth.

Counseling Resources started in Rhode Island as a small practice serving the northern RI community. It grew exponentially over the years, and the level of skill and knowledge the clinicians provided was unmatched in the area. The practice was dedicated to helping all walks of people. Referrals came from doctors' offices, word of mouth, insurance companies, the state, and other resources. It was an enjoyment and an honor to serve the hundreds of patients the practice served. The work that was done was truly remarkable. Now, after many years of other ventures, Counseling Resources (although has been open for a few years) is OPEN!

My practice is dedicated to making clients feel relaxed so that they are comfortable talking about their feelings and understand that they are being heard and validated. My office is in a quiet setting unlike a doctors office and we often take walks in abutting bogs with my therapy dog Lulu an English lab. My goal is to work with the client to establish an individualized treatment plan with their specific goals and timeline considered and provide strategies and coping skills they can utilize in the future

I am the President and CEO of New England Behavioral Health Services, Inc (NEBHSI). I am a Master’s Level Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, Dept of Transportation Substance Abuse Professional (DOT SAP), and Clinical Therapist. I have 15+ years of Substance Abuse and Co-occurring Disorders Counseling. I am an experienced Clinician with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry and utilizing various treatment therapies including but not limited to CBT, MET, and MI. I am skilled in Group Therapy, Psychotherapy, Crisis Intervention, Addiction Recovery, Chemical Dependency, and Cognitive Restructuring.

I am a seasoned, licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of people experiencing life/career stress, chronic pain, substance abuse, anxiety and/or depression. I treat adults, couples and families. I was the Chief Psychologist for the Lahey Pain Management Center in Danvers, Mass for 5 years and led a free chronic pain support group at Lahey- Beverly Hospital for 7 year.s I have written 2 books (one second edition), have had an American Psychological Association certificate for treating people with mixed substance use/abuse-dependence and am on the allied health courtesy staff at BI-Lahey-Beverly Hospital.

I work best with people who have survived adverse childhood experiences, loss, abuse and trauma, and want to continue in their recovery from trauma. Learning about the nervous system and how it adapts/reacts to cues to alert us of potential danger which can assist in regaining control of ourselves and the capacity to tolerate overwhelming emotions and develop skills to cope and self regulate. I bring to the therapeutic alliance academic training and lived experience recovering from childhood trauma, sexual abuse, food addiction, substance use and cooccurring disorders such as PTSD and depression.

Relationships in Crisis: We Have Several Private Couples/Marriage Workshops & Individual Sessions, in order to Rapidly Accelerate Your Healing & Your Communication Process (Traditional 45 min. session Simply Does Not Work). During these 2 to 4 weeks, we will see both of you Together & Individually, as well as Help each of you Learn the Art of Empathy, Sensitivity & Compassion. These Workshops are Informative & Powerful, in order to Accelerate the Healing Process & Stop any further Damage from Occurring. In Addition, Our Success RATE is 85% of Our Couples that have Successfully Completed Our Couples Workshops or Alcohol Treatment.

Welcome. I work primarily with women of all ages, throughout the lifespan, helping them to be their best selves, finding strengths and answers to create the life they desire. I work with individual, couples and groups who are in the midst of a life crisis, an enormous emotional struggle, who have experienced a traumatizing event in their lives or are grieving a loss. I have helped people access their own internal strength so they can start to feel solid ground under their feet again. Sometimes it is a process of changing something or coming to terms with a part of life that has been avoided or stuck in denial. Other times it is process of understanding more deeply and get more clarification in order to make a decision. Still others are working on re-building trust after being devastated by betrayal.
