Hello, I'm Janice. Do you feel as though you are facing the world alone, that life is too difficult, overwhelmed by life's circumstances, everyone's against you, or you're misunderstood? All of these issues may lead to anxiety, depression, or even substance use. I love working with clients igniting hope, believing no one is left to go through adversity alone. I'm a Licensed Counselor, Licensed Practical Nurse, Holistic life Coach, Certified Aroma Specialist, and Energy Healer, who enjoys working with people. My personal life experience with issues like trauma help me completely understand how you feel, which is important.

My areas of expertise include diagnosing and treating depression and anxiety, work-related issues, helping college students and their families through the transition into adulthood, post traumatic growth, spiritual struggles and counseling first responders (i.e., police officers, firefighter, and dispatchers). I love working with young adults (20s/30s) who are interested in experiencing more authenticity, freedom, and joy in life. I provide a safe space to process the fears that hold you back from living your most authentic life and will help you soothe and comfort the wounded parts of yourself that act out in fear to stop you from being fully you. We'll talk about how your less authentic behaviors are your way of trying to protect yourself from pain or rejection and discuss whether these protective measures are still necessary in your current situation. My goal is to help you develop more compassion, gentleness and love towards yourself.

I help LGBTQ+ folks who struggle with anxiety and self-esteem to improve relationships with themselves and others. Perhaps you struggle with confidence issues, overthinking, perfectionism, & lack deeper connections. You likely grew up in an unsupportive environment or town. You seek ways to support and better understand yourself. You're wanting to increase self-compassion and self-love as a queer person (living in the South ain't easy!). You're ready to work on patterns and pain that prevent you from connecting to others. Maybe you're feeling stuck and unsure how to come out, or need some support loving an LGBTQ person in your life.

Healing comes from within. I work from an intergenerational approach to address the many factors that lead to who we are and how experiences affect us all uniquely.
