HHC centers LGBTQ+ and other marginalized communities, working with motivated individuals to build insight, confront obstacles to well-being, and heal trauma to move toward self-actualization & joy. Our team of therapists represent many identities & theoretical perspectives, and work from queer feminist and family systems frameworks. We value self-determination, holistic health, harm reduction, and disability & racial justice. Relationships are built through collaboration, creativity, and recognition of the environmental & cultural factors that impact client's lives. We currently have a fantastic team of 9 providers!

If you’re looking for a therapist for leaders who is creative, thoughtful and cares about your background traditions and future dreams, you’ve found one! My specialty is in body-based mental health care, and I see myself as a member of your team. That means I honor your expertise about how your own life feels for your body and mind, and join it with my expertise as a wellness strategist who has been a licensed mental health therapist for 10 years. I am a Black, queer and non-Christian person of faith who affirms various relationship, parenting, religious and cultural backgrounds as a norm.

When my father passed away when I was ten years old, I saw my first therapist. I had no idea what was happening. I was unable to articulate my feelings at the time, so it was all very hazy. I realized as I began to come into my own that people gravitated toward me because I was easygoing and relaxed. As I learned more about the various demographics and pursued my studies, I became increasingly aware of my desire to work with those who lived with trauma, anxiety, depression, and the LGBTQ+ community.

I believe people are full of inherent strengths, waiting to be unlocked. My goal is to help you become the best version of yourself and accomplish your goals. By identifying your strengths, we can work together to overcome issues in your life. I don't fix people, and I don't tell them what to do. I believe in a therapeutic relationship that is built on empathy and equity. Whether you are working through a substance use disorder, anxiety, depression, relationships conflicts, grief, or low self-esteem, I'd love to be part of your healing journey.

I primarily treat depression, anxiety, and PTSD and I also have strong experience working with LGBTQIA individuals and am a trans affirming provider. I primarily see adult age clients above the age of 21 in my practice. My ideal client is someone who takes the lead in therapy and utilizes our time together in a way that makes sense to them based off of the difficulties they are experiencing. I enjoy helping my patients identify potential roadblocks or thought processes that may be holding them back from their desired lived experience.

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced life changes, trauma, stressors, and/or struggled with substance use. I aim to partner with clients to understand what changes they are looking for, and walk along side them as they achieve their goals. I strongly believe that change is possible and that every human can grow to be the self they strive for. I look to provide support for those engaged in sex work, in the kink community, LGBTQI+ community, those who use substances, or have faced any discrimination or oppression. Hi, my name is Whitney. I use she/her pronouns and am Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Indiana and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I love working with the queer community, people who are facing life transitions, exploring their identity, or questioning their beliefs about life. In a session I strive to be relaxed and approachable. I encourage authenticity and work with you to reach your goals.

I am very passionate about working with young adults, children (5-10), teens (15-18), and families. I identify as gay and strive to work with the LGBTQ+ community. Through my educational training and application of theoretical counseling practices, I strive to help clients navigate their way through anxiety, depression, past/present trauma, and other struggles. I believe that each individual is the expert of their own life, but sometimes needs assistance in navigating life’s curveballs. I am fully affirming and strive to assist the LGBTQ+ Community in finding love and acceptance from others, but more importantly, for themselves.

Jay is currently working with Dr. Spencer Booth, PsyD, HSPP to provide timely compassionate assessment for ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, anxiety disorders, depressive disorder, and more. He is a compassionate, person-centered therapist. He specializes in assessment, cognitive behavioral therapy and task-centered therapy addressing anxiety, depression, and maladaptive behaviors, including addictions. Jay utilizes art-based interventions designed to help clients connect with their creative selves. Jay is a welcoming, affirming therapist for LGBTQ clients.

It is my passion to provide an open and non-judgemental space to talk about those topics that are often “taboo.” I pride myself on ensuring safe and competent care to all clients that may cross my path. I identify as sex positive, trans-affirming, and kink informed. I enjoy providing individual therapy for folks of all walks of life, but I truly love working with partnerships and couples of all forms. I am polyam/non-monogamy aware, competent, and experienced. I have received training in Levels 1 and 2 of the Gottman approach and actively work to adapt it to fit with queer and non-traditional coupleship models.

My name is Hope, and I have been practicing therapy for over 15 years. I know that starting therapy can feel challenging and a bit overwhelming sometimes. I will help make this initial step as easy as possible while we identify your therapy goals and create a plan for therapy that works for you. I am a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and understand the specific challenges this community faces. I also have an extensive background working with those with sexual issues of all kinds, anxiety, depression, mood disorders and trauma. No matter the issue, we will work together to make progress!

I'm passionate about serving communities of people who have been underserved, and possibly harmed, by the fields of counseling and psychology in the past including: the LGBTQ+ population, those with non-traditional relationship structures such as polyamory, the kink community, and neurodivergent individuals. I am client centered and incorporate positive psychology in sessions. It can be challenging to reach out for help and can feel a variety of ways. I hope to provide a secure space for people to feel heard and validated. When working with teens or children, I take a collaborative approach with the parents. It is so important to me to providing a safe nonjudgemental space.

Sometimes in life, situations beyond our control throw us off the path we expected to follow and we don't know where to turn next. It is often at these crossroads where we find the most meaning. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults who find themselves at this unique place. I am here for clients who have had negative experiences in life and are just not sure if they are ready to trust again. I work with early/emerging adults (late teens into 40s) on navigating individual, relational, and environmental experiences and getting unstuck from patterns no longer serving them. These could include experiences such as adjustment to changes, anxiety and panic, mood and depression, sex and sexuality, behavioral patterns and addiction, self and identity, boundaries and expectations, and couple/poly and family relationships. I especially enjoy collaborating with LGBTQIA+ identified/exploring/expanding/allied clients.
