Hi! I am Kristin. I guide clients to identify negative cycles that keep them stuck personally, relationally, and/or professionally. By developing a solid relationship with clients and using effective interventions, I help clients experience healing, growth, movement, and empowerment. I look forward to working with you!

The Coronavirus Pandemic has created a collective trauma. There can be some comfort in knowing that everyone is making sacrifices in this new uncharted world; however, each person’s experience is unique. Often there are unexpected ups and downs in coping that can be surprising and catch us off guard. I specialize in working with clients facing issues of trauma. I have always been fascinated in how the mind naturally creates coping strategies to help get us through tough situations in its drive towards survival. Sometimes these strategies are helpful, but other times they can hinder us from living life to its fullest.

I use trauma informed care to connect with individuals and help clients and families through emotional distress. I use humor, unconditional positive regard and clinical approaches to assess, diagnose and offer behavioral intervention strategies that promote positive growth, healing and increase life satisfaction.

My career as a therapist has afforded me opportunities to work with individuals from all walks of life. I immigrated to the United States from Kiev, Ukraine and feel intimately familiar with the challenges faced by all of the groups I mentioned. I am able to work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families and treat a wide variety of presenting issues including anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, adjustment difficulties, grief / loss, relationship problems, family conflict, and addiction. I am proud member of Chicagoland’s Ukraine Community and am fluent in the Russian and Ukrainian languages.

He completed his training at Loyola University in Maryland, the Illinois School of Professional Psychology in Chicago (National Louis University), and University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC).
