As a therapist, I enjoy helping individuals and families reach their full potential and overcome obstacles. I encourage clients to learn new skills in therapy, gain insight and learn to collaborate with me, their families, and other important individuals in their lives. I have experience working with young children, especially those with Autism Spectrum Disorder, anxiety and SPD. While working with parents, I respect them as the expert on their children, while providing insight based on experience and knowledge of current research. With young children, I use play therapy to help facilitate communication between the child and the therapist.

I have over 15 years of experience working in the schools and in private practice, and provide individual therapy, assessments, school consultation, and presentations.

Most of us humans have experienced trauma or simply too much stress. Thoughts, body sensations, and images/memories/dreams can cause more emotional and physical pain--and vice versa. To get rid of these unwanted things completely may be expected goals; but to diminish and manage them with less pain or tension is more realistic. The Coronavirus Pandemic has created a collective trauma. There can be some comfort in knowing that everyone is making sacrifices in this new uncharted world; however, each person’s experience is unique. Often there are unexpected ups and downs in coping that can be surprising and catch us off guard. I specialize in working with clients facing issues of trauma. I have always been fascinated in how the mind naturally creates coping strategies to help get us through tough situations in its drive towards survival.
