I take into account the whole person (mind/body/spirit) and provide a non-judgmental approach to therapy. Together we will focus on finding and resolving the factors that are at the root of your mental health symptoms. These symptoms are often natural responses/adaptations to stressful life circumstances and traumatic experiences. From this perspective, these psychological parts become imbalanced over time and can get stuck in the past. Once they are properly integrated in the here-and-now, we can begin to live a life that is true to our purpose and in alignment with our highest selves.

Life comes with many changes, and sometimes these changes do not always seem to be for the better. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor and have twenty years of experience working with adults, children, and families. I hold a master-of-arts degree in clinical psychology from Loras College of Dubuque Iowa. Upon completion of graduate school, I was successful in establishing a private practice in the community where I was raised.

I work with adults who have experienced childhood trauma/abuse/neglect, those exposed to domestic violence or sexual assault, and individuals experiencing PTSD. Trauma, depression, anxiety, and low self-esteem can cause difficulties in your relationships and make you feel stuck in your life. I help people who may be carrying the weight of their past, feel their life is out of balance, or who are not living up to their full potential.
