The most difficult way to solve a problem is by trying to solve it alone. My role is to provide you with a safe place to sort through your issues along with the tools you need to live a successful life while working toward mutually agreed-upon goals. My approach is both integrative and holistic based on the needs of the client. Whatever you are going through I want you to know that you are not alone. I look forward to working with you as you take the first step toward making a change. Change is not easy, but it is possible. Counseling can provide you an opportunity to make changes which can lead to personal growth and development.
My 28 years of clinical experience include working with patients experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, self-esteem, and a number of other issues. My academic experience as a faculty member include teaching and supervising graduate students working on their masters and doctorate degrees in counseling, and counselor education and supervison.
A focus in my treatment is first establishing a therapeutic relationship by building rapport, establishing trust and conveying empathy to my clients which can facilitate effective counseling providing the best outcomes. Many people report that they find me “easy to talk to” which can help clients make the most of their counseling experience.
