I’m Victoria, a Licensed Professional Counselor dedicated to empowering individuals to embrace their authentic selves by improving their mental health. Growing up as a Chinese American adoptee in Fairfield County, I know firsthand the struggles of navigating cultural identity and resulting anxiety about one's place in the world. My perspective is further deepened by my experience as a young adult stroke survivor, which instilled in me the profound importance of prioritizing rest, healing, and self-compassion— lessons that often run counter to the demands of our modern world.
As a psychodynamically-trained therapist, you and I will explore the impact of your past experiences to better understand your present challenges. I also often draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an approach focusing on value-based action, which drives change.
Lastly, as a BIPOC therapist, I am particularly committed to providing cultural humility in the therapy room.
