I have been in practice for many years and have been helping people manage many personal problems. I specialize in helping medical professionals. I believe in giving people respect, support and help in understanding life's challenges. Depression and anxiety are the most common problems I see, wrapped in the context of many life changes, disappointments and traumas. Feel free to ask about specific issues. Diagnoses - developed in order for mental health professionals to be included in insurance; they are averages, not personal identities. Diagnoses are over-used, in my opinion - they have some relevance - they don't define a person.
In my practice I specialize in helping medical professionals. Most folks have no idea the stress that doctors, nurses and others have to live with. Education and training are immensely stressful, even abusive. Fear of others' knowledge and opinions tend to keep alot of medical folks from seeking help. My clinical work is extremely private and confidential.
I'm often told that I'm more down to earth than therapists people have seen before. I'm very clear and direct in my communication style, as well as being friendly, warm and compassionate. I look for ways to help people achieve their full potential. I see clients who have "out-of-network" benefits with their insurance policies, call me with questions.
