Hello! I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in working with children and their families. I have worked for over 25 years in private practice and school-based settings in Texas, New Hampshire, and North Carolina. My goal in therapy is to create a friendly, caring and supportive atmosphere, and I believe in empowering families by working with parents to manage difficult child behaviors. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy and other strategies to help children and their families with managing stress, anger, sadness, and worry.
I specialize in providing comprehensive psychological evaluations, including testing for ADHD, learning issues, anxiety, depression, early Kindergarten/gifted eligibility, and other emotional/behavioral issues. I have experience using the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS-2) when evaluating for autism spectrum disorders in children over age 6.
I also have extensive experience consulting with school staff and providing recommendations to parents and teachers to help children maximize their learning potential.
