I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervising Credential in the State of Ohio. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Level II. My approach to therapy is strongly informed by a humanistic theory of psychology that emphasizes an individual's potential for growth, resilience, and healing. I have a multifaceted approach to therapy that draws from Attachment Theory, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and others.
I work with adult clients individually. I am experienced in the treatment of mental/emotional issues such as depression, anxiety/stress, anger, trauma, grief, substance use, mood dysregulation, and the impact of adverse childhood experiences on coping and stability.
The tone I create in my sessions is one of warmth, acceptance, and openness, which allows clients to experience vulnerability rather than defensively shutting down as a form of self-protection. Trust, which is the foundation of the therapeutic relationship, creates space for that vulnerability.
