I still love what I do after 26 years. I have extensive experience in Christian Counseling, Blended Families, Couples, Addiction, PTSD, Trauma, Sex-Offenders, and Obsessive-Compulsive behaviors. I have worked with a variety of clients ranging from ages 7 to 89, but am currently only working with adults. I am independently licensed in 3 different states as a Marriage and Family Therapist and independently licensed in 1 state as an Addiction Counselor. I believe everyone has a "gift," something that they are called to do, and Counseling is mine.
I care about my clients and have the innate ability to "zone" in on what is going on with them. I use Emotional Focus Therapy, Strength-Based, Trauma-Informed, Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but it really depends on the clients I am seeing.
I admire anyone who wants to make a change and is willing to reach out and ask for help. I am here for you if you are that person. It's very important to remember to provide a 24-hour notice or a minimum of 2 hours (if an emergency comes up) notice if you are not going to make your session, so that you are not charged a no-show fee.
