I offer supportive, client centered and strength based psychotherapy, and invite you to engage in authentic and intuitive exchange in our work together. If you or a family member struggle with addiction, or the depression, trauma, co-dependency, anxiety that accompany it, I can help you into a more satisfying life with mindfulness, empowering your innate strengths and coping skills. Experienced with co-occurring disorders, I can help you find the best treatment combination for you.
Through supportive counseling I help clients face challenges of recovery from substance abuse, codependency, depression, grief, trauma, anxiety and co-occurring mental disorders. My approach is spiritually based, but not religious. The client's needs dictate counseling tools chosen for our sessions, and my "toolkit" is quite full of helpful techniques.
Multiple life experiences inform my practice. As they say: "been there, done that"...I have taught all levels from preschool to adult, worked many years in Germany and relate to diverse cultural perspectives and can help with adjustments to new life challenges (divorce, deaths, moves, retirement, business changes, "empty nest", etc.)
