Welcome! Vicki's practice primarily focuses on adults who suffer from symptoms associated with trauma. While various events in life may cause post traumatic stress, Vicki has learned that symptoms often begin early in life through family neglect or other difficult family relations. If your emotions and esteem feel challenged by early traumatic experiences and memories, know that you do not have to spend the rest of life getting over childhood. Vicki has tools to share with you that she believes can help.
Vicki is a certified trauma therapist. She assists clients in discovering and maintaining healthy ways to cope during anxiety or panic. Her belief is that the desire and motivation to change fused thoughts are the first step towards healing. By utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR and Mindfulness techniques, Vicki reports "miracles happen".
Vicki also combines traditional therapy with holistic approaches through an understanding of the ancient philosophy that total health combines mind, body and spirit. As a former teacher and current student of yoga, Vicki views movement and breath work as important tools for healing. Vicki's website: vickiconner.com. Thank you for visiting her site!
