For the last decade my practice has provided therapy to adults in the Medical Profession who suffer from symptoms associated with trauma. While various events in life may cause post traumatic stress, symptoms often begin in childhood through neglect, abuse or other difficult family relations. If your emotions and esteem feel challenged by early traumatic experiences and memories, know that you do not have to spend the rest of life overcoming your childhood. I have tools to share with you that will assist you in ways to regulate your emotions. After looking at my profile, the first step may be to feel safe enough to call me.
As a trauma informed therapist I will assist you in discovering healthy coping methods to feel grounded during anxiety and panic attacks. I will assist you to realize your thoughts and feelings and offer methods to redirect stuck thoughts about yourself. I will assist you as you safely address shame and codependence.
While I can't work harder than you, I will meet you where you are with your goals as we combine traditional therapy as taught and utilized by the VA Hospital for PTSD, including the holistic understanding and ancient belief that total health combines mind, body and spirit.
