After 25 years in veterinary medicine, I returned to school to pursue a Masters in Counseling from Lincoln Christian University. I began working with adults in an intensive outpatient program that utilized group and individual therapy. I take a collaborative approach with clients. My client and I are a team and partner working towards healing while providing a safe, confidential, warm, relaxed, and meaningful experience. My theoretical approach is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.Above all, I am a Christian, and I believe that Christ is the ultimate healer, and I am merely an instrument of His healing.
I can assist you with a number of challenges, such as depression, anxiety, grief, loneliness, and the challenges that life throws us. One thing that sets me apart is that I incorporate humor into my counseling. Humor is a potent coping skill. I am trained in Improv Therapy, which is very effective in managing depression and anxiety.
Above all, I am a Christian, and I believe that Christ is the ultimate healer, and I am merely an instrument of His healing. Given my client’s needs and desires, I can incorporate a Biblical Worldview into therapy sessions.
