Hello and thank you for visiting my profile! Currently I am a full-time Professional School Counselor who is working on my LPC-A. I have 17 years of school counseling experience with children ages 4-18 years. My experience includes working with anxiety, with families experiencing loss such as a death in the family or a divorce/ separation, with trauma, as well as working with children in military families.

Thank you for taking the first step in seeking help. Sometimes taking this first step is the hardest for most people to take, so congratulations! My hope is to provide you with a safe place to work on whatever symptoms or concerns you are currently dealing with. I have been in the field for over 15 years and have worked with an array of populations. My experience is in the areas of trauma, PTSD, ADHD, adolescents (at-risk youth), relationship issues, divorce, and law enforcement issues. In addition, I have experience working with veterans to provide a second opinion and/or assessment in support of their VA Disability claims.

I believe in the power of therapy to help people escape the grip of the trauma: I work with survivors of childhood sexual abuse, domestic violence, abusive relationships, rape and sexual violence, terrorism, and political violence. I understand that making a commitment to yourself through psychological therapy is a significant and important step for many people.

Nearly 2 years ago, my eldest child shared that she is transgender. I initially had no idea what to do. I was scared, and confused, even ashamed and guilty. I am a pediatrician who has worked with suicidal youth and understand the consequences of parental rejection, but I still struggled with my child's gender. Today, I know better. My child comes first and so does yours. I help parents love, accept, understand, and support their LGBTQ+ children so they can thrive and live out loud without judgment or limitations.
