She works with either civilians or veterans who are interested in an evidence based approach to managing anxiety and/or depression, substance use disorders, trauma and other stressor disorders, or racial identity/other cultural issues. I am a Licensed Social Worker and enjoy working with adolescents ages 16+ and adults. I have experience working in various settings including the Veteran's Affairs, inpatient hospitals and specialize in working with individuals who are seeking help with PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other related mental health conditions. Additionally, I enjoy working with first responders, Veterans/active military, and their family members. My focus is humanistic, and I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach to help empower and support others through their therapeutic journey.

I am a Veteran Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience providing mental health services in diverse settings including military, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, correction facilities, crisis units, and community mental health centers. I have experience working with juveniles, severely mentally ill clients, Active duty military, veterans, clients in the legal system, individuals and families. I earned my BS in Psychology from the University of Hawaii-West Oahu and my MSW from the University of Hawaii-Manoa.

I have worked the majority of my career in emergency psychiatric medicine. I have spent the last 7 years working alongside law enforcement. Being in these intense situations has helped me to learn how to support people in crisis as well as skills people can use to avoid a crisis. I have a unique perspective into the stressors that law enforcement, first responders and veterans experience in their lines of work and hope to provide support to those who may not traditionally seek it out due to stigma or fear that people won't understand.

I have vast experience working with individuals, families and couples in many different settings and walks of life, including military servicemen/women and their families. I specialize in working with adolescents and their families, as well as couples who are re-examining their relationship. I have been certified through the VA/Springfield Vet Center for specialized training, in Military Sexual Trauma (MST).
