Dr. Anne Rufa (she/her/hers) received her Ph.D. in Clinical and Community Psychology from DePaul University. She has worked with clients of all ages in a variety of settings including hospital-based outpatient clinics, community mental health centers, shelters for people experiencing homelessness, and a Veterans Affairs hospital. Dr. Rufa uses an integrative approach to therapy driven by a collaborative working relationship that honors clients’ goals, preferences, and strengths.

I collaborate with participants to plan creative solutions and positive coping behaviors in order to address a wide variety of experiences, including: anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, self-esteem and self-worth, stress, symptoms related to post-traumatic stress, vicarious trauma, being in relationship with a trauma survivor, substance use/ abuse, self-care, and addressing negative coping behaviors. I have worked extensively with survivors of sexual violence, people who have experienced domestic violence, combat Veterans, and other survivors of complex trauma.

Jeffrey is a licensed marriage and family therapist and an AAMFT approved supervisor committed to treating individuals, couples, and families. Jeffrey’s experiences include working with those affected by day-to-day stressors, transitions and difficulty establishing meaning in their lives. He holds extensive experience treating a variety of couples’ issues such as infidelity, strenuous transitions, and communication problems in relationships. Additionally, he holds a great interest in working with first responders, veterans and military families, as well as those impacted by negative childhood experiences.

I look at my clients as already complete human beings. You are more than your problems, and not as simple as a textbook. I treat each of my clients as a whole and unique person, not as a set of symptoms. I help my clients build on their strengths, to create a better sense of wellbeing. The majority of my training and work experience has specifically focused on the assessment and treatment of psychological trauma. I believe my job is to walk alongside my clients as they unpack their traumatic experiences, while providing continued safety and validation, all at their own pace. I have extensive experience in evidence based treatments for PTSD and have been successful in treating a wide variety of individuals. I have also completed specialized training in maternal mental health. I treat women dealing with mental health issues that come up during and after pregnancy, such as anxiety, depression, and OCD. I also help women navigate pregnancy loss, infertility, and traumatic births. As a mother myself, I am passionate about working with other mothers struggling with mental health issues related to pregnancy or the postpartum period.

My focus is on working with individuals and families who are experiencing grief due to the loss of loved ones through death, the ending of relationships, the onset of disability, or other types of life changes that require significant adjustment. I have also trained specifically to work with the unique challenges faced by first responders and veterans in their careers and I work with individual clients of all ages. I believe in building and establishing rapport and trust while having an empathetic, nonjudgmental approach.

My clinical experience has focused on serving those who experience anxiety, depression, family and marriage/relationship struggles, PTSD (veterans, military active duty, first responders). Most clients I see are striving to understand what they are feeling and sometimes why they are having certain symptoms. Therapeutic intervention can help guide a client to finding some of those answers and creating goals to help them live with more peace and happiness.

Therapy can seem daunting, though not quite as daunting as a lifetime of emotional discomfort. Lindsey’s approach to psychotherapy is warm and collaborative, empowering her clients to achieve happiness and an unbreakable inner well-being. Trust and confidentiality allow clients to speak freely from the depths of their mind and soul while feeling truly seen, accepted, and cared for even in their darkest moments. Through a compassionate therapeutic relationship, clients work with the therapist to discover the formation of their unique personality traits, beliefs, and patterns in relationships that contribute to present-day distress.

Currently sessions are conducted virtually- Dr. Waseberg is a psychotherapist and professor of counseling psychology. He helps individuals and couples struggling with relationships, trauma, depression, anxiety, PTSD, eating disorders, grief, alcohol/drugs, abandonment, anger, OCD, social anxiety, phobia, bipolar/borderline and other psychological issues. He digs deep into the roots of your underlying issues in a safe non-judgmental space with empathy. He has rich experience providing counseling in private practice settings as well as Inpatient Residential Treatment, Partial Hospitalization-PHP, and Intensive Outpatient-IOP settings.
