As a parent/caregiver, a certain level of stress is normal, however when your stress level becomes unmanageable, it is time to seek professional support. I help infants and their parents; individuals and their families repair the effects of trauma and stress in their lives. I believe the earlier we address emotional, developmental, relational, social and individual (behavior) functioning, the better we can assist the family or individual to make life-long changes.
I developed the first 0-5 program for two agencies now widely used in the field. Over 30 years, I have been a clinician, supervisor, mentor and trainer. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I focus on attachment and trauma in infancy, early childhood, pre-teens, teens, their families and individuals.
We build secure attachment and decrease negative behaviors. I'm a certified practitioner of Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Family Overcoming Under Stress (FOCUS). We focus on play/sand therapy, child development, family therapy, CBT, Psychopathology, military, parenting, suicide, teens, infant to 18-years and family adult counseling.
