Hello, my name is Vester Bradshaw Jr, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. As a therapist, I operate under the promise that I am not an expert in anyone’s life, which allows me to walk alongside clients to assist them with making changes and achieving goals. Also, my treatment philosophies are “Hope empowers individuals to make effective and needed changes in their lives” and “We are not defined by our past, but how we invest in today, lays the foundation for our future.” I am trained in treatment modalities such as Progressive Counting (Trauma Focus,) Brief Solution Focused, DBT, CBT, and Grief Counseling.
I work with both individuals and couples within my practice. I typically see people who are experiencing depressive anxious symptoms, social conflicts, behavioral problems, and struggles with grief. My role is to create a safe, relaxed, and non-judgmental environment where people feel free to express themselves openly.
I believe my life experiences of being a troubled youth and other struggles provided me with the ability to be relatable, as I help people reach their goals. I believe it is imperative to create realistic goals that reflect the person's life experience.
