About
I believe that the elements in the tree of life are important in the therapeutic process. The tree of life is a symbol of personal growth, strength and stability. The branches grow and strengthen growing upward towards the sky which symbolizes striving for knowledge, wisdom and new experiences moving throughout ones lifetime. The roots of the tree ground and stabilize. All trees are unique and have individuality. Ones unique experiences mold and enhance individuality. I believe counseling encompasses all of these areas: Personal growth, strength, individuality, grounding and stability.
I believe in holistic- mind, body & spirit- care that encompasses the whole person while seeking to empower and aid in reaching goals. I want to see individuals be able to find balance in their lives. I think it is important to not only deal with current symptoms and stressors but to also explore the root causes and past experiences. impacting oneself.
I have been working as a licensed professional counselor for 25 years. I am currently working at Salveo Integrative Health, a psychiatric outpatient center in Lawrenceville. I have also worked in community mental health, psychiatric hospitalization and a correctional facility.
