What I do is help clients identify and understand thoughts and beliefs they have that keep them from feeling good about themselves and get in the way of living life to its fullest. Each individual has a unique view of the world and relationships etched out of our early experience. If those experiences are good enough, then one is able to meet life's challenges, but if these experiences are wrought with dysfunction and trauma, meeting these challenges is much more difficult and one may require assistance from a professional who can safely facilitate exploration of the obstacles to fulfillment.
My area of expertise is in the field of trauma, particularly the kind of trauma associated with childhood sexual abuse. Adults who were molested as children often suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Depression and difficulties in relationships with others. I provide psychoanalytic psychotherapy that is trauma focused.
I am qualified to facilitate deep exploration of the psychological landscape unique to each individual. I work to enhance my skills and my own self awareness.
